Seems crazy to me. This eeks of AD scared of derailment this season and being the scapegoat so rushes a decision. I would have thought an interim for a year then entering the coaching pool in November or December would have been better for them. i believe they could have gotten someone better than Mcgee.

Thinking we may have went this route when X left. Not a Dooley hater just the timing of it was awful.

The rumor was that they were trying to get PF to sign on for 1 year....


Not pretending to know anything and honestly do not have a clue, but kind of make me wonder after I read that story..

The problem with hiring in January is that it's in the middle of recruiting. But there's no looming deadline now. Why can't they take their time and hire a coach? What's the advantage to waiting through another season?

the same guy who told me that Petrino would be the coach way before it became public says that they are gonna go interim in 2012. He was spot on then, I have no reason to believe otherwise now.

It sounding like we're bring in a permanent coach this week and he'll keep our current staff through this season and then get his own if he wants to in 2013.
