Where on earth did anyone come up with the notion that this was somehow a disappointment other than getting a couple of guys injured?

In all fairness to USU we had a short week to prepare for ASU. I thought USU had a better defense but ASU had a much more creative offense with a coach willing to roll the dice. They pulled quite a few tricks out of the bag that paid off for them. Even though Worley had fewer yards than last week his first half today was pretty elite.

We played 2 pretty good football teams and again showed no signs of a running game. This just solidifies all of the discussions/predictions made in the off season 6-6 or 7-5 and the reasons for those projections were the new offensive line. Its just hard to accept reality.

Arky state played tough! They gave it 110%. Hats off to them and I am sure they will do well in their own conference. Now it's time for us to play above and beyond what people think we can and try to spoil a couple team's seasons this year!!

Good post, I sure hope Butch and the Vol's go into Norman and play to win, just like Arkansas State's coach, anything goes all out effort
