Idiot! Their whole front court was D-1 transfers.

No, actually the idiots are people like you who make excuses for reasons why we lost to MTSU. Live in your box, but we started the game with 4 4 star players and a 5 star player. Our bench has another 4 star player. You going to come argue that MTSU has more talent then that? Of course they have D-1 players, who couldn't cut it in the Big East, SEC, ACC, etc. You beginning to get my drift of just how bad our guards are. No team in the state of TN, including Vandy, should ever beat us in any sport. We have more resources, more money, and better facilities then any other TN school, yet I'm the idiot for not making excuses for losing to MTSU. There are no excuses. Yea, MTSU has some very good guard play, and they also are a sunbelt conference team who play no one. Hell, Tatum would look like a 5 star player in the sunbelt. Facts are, TN should be able to beat them in 40 mins with depth alone. Go do your fing homework. Massey the great D1 player that smoked Trae all night avgs all of six points and shots 22% from three. Their senior Dendy, who's arguably there best player, couldn't even make it at ISU, yet they are loaded with those D-1 studs. You can pull your BS excuses, and some of the homers on here will blindly agree with you, but at the end of the day MTSU has 1/4 the talent we do and beat our butts. It's called heart.

Lmao that doesn't mean they were 4 & 5 stars. And what the hell do you think MTSU is, it's d1.

Their best player Dendy was a 3 star.

Good argument genius. Did they even have anybody higher than a 3* on their roster!
They weren't a team of two stars like he said. If stars don't matter, then why do the teams with the higher star players ALWAYS have the better records, and are consistently the higher seeds in the NCAAT? You can't come up with a sensible answer to that, that will hold water.

MTSU is made up of almost all 2* and one or two 3*

Go look at the stars a team like mich st has on their current roster and get back to me with your findings.

Stars don't matter when the player with a 4 star above his name has no heart. Massey is horrible, yet he creamed Trae, Mr. Ga basketball, all night. You know why? He played with heart. VCU pulls a 4 star play now and then, but mostly they get 3-2 star guys and sometimes non raked guys. I'd call VCU a very good basketball team, and it's all because they refuse to lose. MTSU refused to lose last night, and we didn't want to win as bad as they didn't want to lose. Is TN more talented you bet yea, but MTSU proved ya don't need talent to win. There's no excuse if you are UT tho to play as bad as they did. Stars don't matter, but please don't come in here with that crazy BS that MTSU is more talented etc then us. Go look at the stars of every player and tell me who had the most highly rated players if stars is all you care about. You are creaming yourself. You guys say stars matter then come out and say MTSU is better then us? Well by your measures they aren't even close to us star wise. Why'd we lose then genius? Tell me I'm dieing to know! UT played like losers, esp the last 7 mins. That has zero to do with stars.

K you ready Michigan State:

Draymond Green 4*
Keith appling 4*
Brandon wood 2*
Austin Thornton 2*
Branden Dawson 5*
Derrick Nix 4*
Adreian Payne 5*
Travis Trice 3*
That's a 3.625* average in your 8 man rotation

Tennessee
Golden 4*
McRae 4*
Mcbee 2*
Tatum 4*
Stokes 5*
Maymon 4*
Richardson 3*
Yemi 3*
Guess what....that's also a 3.625* average in your 8 man rotation. Add in hall in place of yemi and we, according to stars, are actually more talented than Michigan state.

Id much rather have a guy like Cuonzo rating kids for my team than someone along the lines of Brent Hubbs or Rob Lewis.

And let's face it, many 4 and 5 star players would never fit into the brand of basketball Coach teaches.

Not making excuses but we were plauing with our best player (Maymon) injured. He was playing on a bum knee (menisucs)and had suregery to repair it today. It was obvious he wasn't able to play at 100%. Same for Golden, he was injured after the breakaway layup and was noticibly limping after that and MTSU took advantage of it. In addition, it was obvious MTSU wanted it more which was to be expected.

I feel TN is really struggling to get talent to rebuild, I am not sure this kid is what we need to reach next level. There is a kid at Three Rivers JUCO, plays same position and avg over 20 ppg and lead team in boards as well as shot 50% from 3. He scored 34 of his teams 58 points yesterday at Hutch National Tourney. TN is missing with the commit of this Moore kid.

Numbers can e very deceiving at the juco level. This staff i guarantee knows about all the prospects hs an juco. They obviously just didn't like what they saw in this kid.

They are recruiting Fabyon who is juco, so they definitely are willing to go juco. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think Moore sounds like a pretty solid pick up. Add Fabyon and be done till 13' class.

Agree JUCO can be deceiving, but you can look at the previous year as well and check into history of the JUCO school. Three Rivers is a JUCO national contender every year, it is not a roody poo TN juco. I just think this staff may struggle in fully knowing what is needed at this level to be a national contender. For instance Reese in 2012 and Washpun in 2011 class. I like the Edwards kid for 2012, but that is it. Stokes was a no brainer cause every wanted him. In order to return to national contender you have to find hidden gems who can GO!

Take a look at the 2013 list if you don't think Cuonzo is pursuing the best players in the country.
Remainder of 012 will be the crumbs that fall from the master's table.

Anybody can pursue the best, heck TSU can offer a schloarship to Robert Hubbs or Sam Craft. He needs players NOW that can come in and win games in order to generate interest for those big time players, TN badly needs 2 big time scoring wings and a true PG, Edwards may be one of those wings, but no PG help in site. The team will be so much better with Golden off ball. He did a freakin fantastic job this year, but he isnt a true PG.
