Army Navy game (merged)

Army takes a 3 point lead.

Gotta pull for Navy though. Honor thy father :p

Paps was a Navy man.

just outside of middletown, halfway between hartford and new haven.

I have a good friend that just left the AF that is going through the trooper academy. Not sure where its at or where he will be assigned.

His Dad is a CT Trooper, really nice folks.

My dad was a Marine from an Airborne family, I stuck with the Army side and became the first Malcolm Cavalryman

Well everyone who is a part of the forces is a hero in my book. No winners or losers when it comes to protecting people. I may not always agree with some of the causes but I'll always defend and support our troops. Thank you. More often than not, it takes a brave and passionate person

I feel bad for the kids who get into only because they need college funds. I am sure it grows on a lot of them though. In the end they have to know what they mean to this country and the people they are defending.

You're the man.

I thought about trying the CSP academy, but i don't have the mentality. I'm going to start EMT classes in the spring to try to get into Hartford Fire

Alot of guys on here, BPV, 7th, USAF, and countless others are the men. I just went because i was bored, and it sounded fun. I was no hero, but i served with several.

Then you're just fearless.

My dad has been out a long time and never talks about it but I have a few friends out there. Some of the stuff they talk about is a little crazy. One was dismissed because the stuff he saw messed him up. Another is out there for the third time and I am surprised he isn't messed up from some of the stuff he has seen. I think I feel the worst for him. He's been over there for at least two years now and has only been back maybe three times for like a week or two each time he returned.

It took growing up a bit to realize how much I respect these guys. In high school I didn't really know much but some of the best people I've known are now over there. Great people before they left so I realize how great a lot of these guys are. Most are caring people that would help you. Then when they come back, they are even more helpful. Willing to help you in any way they can.

I've had a couple beers so I'm pry a little more compassionate then normal but you just see how these guys have been taught to do anything and being alive after some of the crap they go through just makes them even better people. Whether it was a close call or seeing the less fortunate.

Great people out there protecting civilians. Sucks fighting is require to protect freedom but that's life I guess. We can only be grateful we have our cushy lives while others are risking theirs.

Pearl, i guess everyone deserves love from us back home. But the heroes are those who gave their last. If the USMA pulls this out, have a shot of Bourbon for SGT John D Malcolm, Air Cav Troop, 11th ACR, killed moving forward to assist fallen patrol members in an ambush. He recieved the Silver Star for Gallantry with Valor device, and Bronze Star with Valor device. From a Vets POV, thats a hero.
