doesn't matter what shannon wants or does ... all the release does is allow him to be on scholarship earlier. he can leave, pay his way next year and pass classes to stay eligible, and play in 2010 with 3 years to play 3.

The rumors don't feel that strong to me yet. Rex posted some comments from a cane fan that said Arthur Brown, Jr. would be announcing in the next few weeks that he would be transferring, but there doesn't seem to be *that* much buzz yet.

If anything comes out that our staff has recruited him while being at Miami...I think that is a violation.

I would think Bryce could "recruit" him to come here if he wanted.

If Miami wouldn't let Marve transfer to UT what makes us think that they'd let Arthur?

Apparently UT and Marve had contact with each other before he was granted a release and that is why he was not allowed to come to UT. But you would have to think that Arthur and UT has had contact too, if he ask to be released.

Marve wasn't allowed to transfer to the SEC schools because we allegedly contacted him behind his back.

Don't think for a second that ABJ will transfer. Someone on a KSt. board started these same rumors.

Congrats Vols. Pretty much a done deal now with Arthur. Tennessee has even offered to pay us his signing bonus back. His off campus apartment though is kinda tricky since it has lost value throughout the whole mortgage crisis mess. So, Tennessee has agreed to pay for Lynden Trails family to move in to the apartment in Coral Gables and changed over the paper work on Arthur's Range Rover. I guess Monte told Arthur he was gonna get Arthur a Vol orange one in Knoxville, so no hard feelings I guess.

Take good care of him, he's a great guy!

depends on what you mean as legit...if you mean is arthur jr. a legit player then unequivocably it's a yes. he was a five star and many say he was last years best lb prospect...if you meant do we have a legitimate shot at getting him then i would say no, but it's fun to think about.

I was talking about him transferring and the guys credibility. I wouldn't call him a legit player yet though, since Miami fans are saying he didn't touch the field except on special teams last year.
