Article on Jones, all need to read

Good article, OP. I feel a lot better about him now. He seems to possess the football and team intensity that most of us desired from a Gruden hire, although less flashy (which might suit our current situation better). I can definitely rally behind the guy, although this upcoming year might still be rough on The Hill...

I am excited about the new start and looking forward to Jones being Bruce Pearl 2.0, not Derek Dooley 2.0.

I have a sign on my wall that lists "Life's Little Instructions". Lots of good stuff on it. Halfway down it lists "avoid negative people".

Go Vols!

Did it ever occur to some of you that fans are tired of giving people not qualified for the job a fair chance. We continue to sign rejects that are bottom of the list coaches. The AD is not giving the football program a fair chance to succeed so don't expect me to either.

How in the hell is he not qualified for the job? He has won everywhere he's ever been.

Jone's wasn't on my radar to begin with. Like many Vol fans I was hoping for a splashier hire. After spending some time today, digesting some key points about Jones, I really don't know why he isn't further up the list.

I tried to collate my thoughts about Jones this morning via my blog, what I discovered?

I didn't like it at first, but now, I am ALL IN:

Great article..the more I see the more I think he could be the man for the job. Also article talked about him opening practice to ex players. We're in this together for better or worse. Let's all pull together.
