I have posted around here that I don't like for WVA to be in this game. This guy has a pretty amusing article about the possibility of it being WVA and Missouri. While he says that OSU is one of the best teams in the nation, I disagree, but it is still a good kick.

Missouri Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Southern California Trojans - CBSSports.com

"I want to see this game because it would be the least anticipated and most undesirable title game in modern college football history. It would be so unwanted by most of the country that it could finally be the spark to force the arrogant snobs and fat-cat sheiks that run college football to start a playoff system."

"My argument is much simpler. By the end of the season West Virginia and Missouri won't be the two best teams in the country. Southern California and Ohio State will be. In fact, they probably are now. Even Georgia is better than the Mountaineers and Tigers right now. "

"I would even take Florida over Missouri and West Virginia. The Gators might give up 30 points, but they'd drop 50 on either of those teams. "

"The states of Missouri and West Virginia will watch the game and no one else will. Crickets won't chirp; they'll be too bored. They'll snore. "

I agree that the game will get probably the lowest national title share of the tv market in recent history (as in "ever"), but I don't think it will change the course of the BCS. The problem is that there isn't a team out there that everyone thinks lost one game because of some tragic happenstance but is just playing so great right now that it's a shame they aren't in.

Georgia is closest to that, being the hot team, but their losses were too big to overlook and so there isn't this hue and cry that they are geting screwed by two non-deserving teams. It would be better if those teams were undefeated and there were a slew of one loss teams that are big names, like USC or Florida or even tOSU, where the losses were early and explicable.

LG is right. It's not going to change anything. And while the casual may be clueless, Mizzou-WVU is shaping up to be a great game. Chase Daniel is an amazing qb and White and Slaton are fun to watch. I would love to see this match up. And to add to it, I've yet to see anyone come up with a valid argument that either team isn't worthy.

WVA is not worthy thats for sure. What have they done besides win? Their conference sucks as well as their out of conference game schedule. They are no different than Hawaii right now. Yeah they get wins, but they have yet to play one single worthy opponent.

West Virginia would set Florida or Ohio State on fire. The only people who think WVU-Mizzou is a bad matchup are SEC/Big 10 elitist who will also try to tell you that Wisconsin is good and that Georgia could play with either of those teams, which is a joke.

Winning is key.

Hawaii plays Idaho and struggles with San Jose State.

WVU wins a somewhat competitive conference.

Mizzou would torch Florida's, Tennessee's, and Ohio State's defense too.

The West Virginia mascot is the Mountaineer. He carries a rifle and wears a coonskin hat. Why not go for the stereotype trifecta, Mountaineer dude, and date your sister?

Amazing!

Since when did CFB become transitive?
When people start babbling about how West Virginia and Missouri haven't played anyone. Especially when the chances are really good that the people saying it haven't seen more than one or two of their opponents play.

Chase Daniel would carve up UT's young and depleted secondary like a butcher.

If I had a vote for Heisman, I'd still look at him and Ryan over Tebow.

As for WVU, don't forget Cincy wasn't a slouch in the Big East either. Slaton's mobility would make it seem like UT held their own against Tebow.

Yes I know winning is key, and Hawaii has won their games regardless of struggling, a win is a win.

WVA still lost to a South Florida who fell apart after losing one game, just like every other team in that conference.

On a sidenote, Daniel will win the Heisman if Mizzou beats Oklahoma this weekend.

As opposed to Ohio State, who was beaten by a team that lost to Iowa.
