I never said USF didn't have some good wins, I said they fell apart after losing. Which clearly happened.

No comparison in the fact that Hawaii has one more win. :) And if WVU was so great, WVU would have moved up to 1 in the slots, but instead they were jumped.

They were jumped because of Mizzou's strength of schedule. Trust me, you'll find out how good the Mountaineers are when they beat Mizzou/OSU by double digits on January 7th.

if anyone thinks WVU can't beat any team in the country they aren't paying attention. that's not to say they are the best team in the country, but I can't see a rational argument why OSU for instance is more worthy.

on a given day, they can play with any team in the country. I think people take their defensive stats and overhype them. They just don't appear as good as their stats suggest. Between Missouri and OSU, WVU could beat either by by big double digits

I don't necessarily overhype West Virginia's defense because of their stats. Personally, I thought their defense looked pretty stout when I saw them play Maryland, Rutgers and Cincinnati. Louisville was easily their worst defensive performance of the year (only defensive lapse I can think of).

Ohio State's offense would be fortunate to score 14 points against the Mountaineer defense.

You're out of your tree on that asserstion. WVU is a totally one sided team, and it ain't balanced towards the D. They've allowed less than 14 just twice this year, and neither team is close to OSU. The Mountaineers deserve to be where they are, and the Big East is no joke. But let's not get carried away.

slaton and white would shred that vaunted OSU defense. If you can't stop duece williams what will you do against WVU?

No question. Illinois runs a poor man's spread and the Buckeyes had no answer. So the guys who basically pioneered it (Mountaineered it?) are gonna rape them. I'd see WVU putting up 42 on them no problem. But they'd give up at least 21, as well.

Actually they have allowed less than 14 points in 3 games this year, they allowed exactly 14 twice, and UConn scored a junk touchdown in the 4th quarter to put their total over 14.

WVA is not worthy thats for sure. What have they done besides win? Their conference sucks as well as their out of conference game schedule. They are no different than Hawaii right now. Yeah they get wins, but they have yet to play one single worthy opponent.
 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I'm partial to WVU as I have stated in other threads. I think WVU and Mizz could put more points on the board than OSU. If the game comes down to these two teams, I think we have a high scoring game.
