This...He's a really good coach, his coaching and player development are not, and really haven't been, an issue...He's just loyal to an absolute fault with players and staff...He's got that old school, loyal to my staff/loyal to my upperclassmen regardless of talent thing going, and it's EXTREMELY frustrating to a good portion of the fanbase...It should also be noted he's not Saban on the recruiting trail, but I feel like he's actually a decent recruiter and it's less of an issue than the other stuff.

I used to go in depth, mostly with idiot FSU acquaintances in my personal life, about how Dan is a really good coach and I'd have all these facts and little anecdotes ready to prove my points...Now, my blanket statement is just "He had Mississippi State ranked number one in the country in November during the height of Saban's Alabama dynasty...That's the only proof you'll ever need that he can coach".

Well he is not in Starkville anymore. This is year 4. This team is fully recruited by him. Needs to start winning championships soon in the next few years. These are the expectations he set for himself.

Doubtful…our defense is suspect, and Richardson is not 100%.

Even if he was 100%, Mullen is hell bent on playing Jones when anyone can see Richardson is the superior athlete and QB.

Unfortunately, our coach is pretty hellbent on playing our 3rd best QB, who overthrows every receiver by 10 yards, so ... you guys are probably OK in tne game versus us.

He chose UCLA, in part, because it is the No. 1 public university in the country. He wanted to coach players serious about both “books and ball,” he says. (Guess he thinks UF is a crap school, haha!).

This sounds like BS. I don't know that UCLA is a better academic school than Florida. They are pretty close to each other on that.

The main difference between UCLA and Florida, is that the HFC at UCLA can live life without the media obsessing over him and the HFC at Florida can not. That's why Chip Kelly chose UCLA.
