Don't mistake my lack of cute smiles as being serious, I just use the Fast Reply Box so much, that I don't always use the smilies.

I understand she and others don't like Steve, but alot of the hatred is undeserved. That's the point I was trying to make.

I've NEVER seen a Spurrier quote regarding Phil's weight.

They are friends.  He was the first person to call Phil and congradulate him on the National Championship.

If One comment about Tennessee's underachiving and the Citrus Bowl, will make you no longer follow Tennessee Football, we'll I'm sure if I gave my opinion on what I thought of that, I'd be banned.

friends??? forget that!

Can't say I disagree too much there... This is a critical juncture for Fulmer's legacy at Tennessee. The mark of a true great leader is to be able to make tough decisions and adapt to change.

Changes obviously have to be made because we have been underachieving for the past several years, with 2004 being the aberration. If we didn't have the talent, our results over the last 7 years would be fine and I wouldn't be as upset. However, we do have talent, so we've underachieved. That being said, Fulmer is the primary reason we have that talent, so I want Fulmer to stay.

So, in agreement with the writer of the article, changes must be made in the assistant coaching ranks. Keep Fulmer and we get the talent and a good spokesperson. But get assistants who can breathe some life into this program.

So it boils down to 2 big changes we have to see:

1) Fulmer recognize things are NOT going well and accept that changes have to be made and bring in some new blood.

2) Allow the new blood, assuming they bring the requisite skills to the table, to do their thing.

Sorry, but they are. Their wives shop together in Pigeon Forge most years after the regular season.

Be that as it may, the swell is starting to take shape, and Phil is going to have to do something FOR SURE!

I will be very surprised if any changes happen at the end of the season.

You win an NC like Fulmer has. It like getting tenure. He still can have a 7-4 record. Sorry as it is with this talent, i'm not expecting Phil to be forced to do anything.

If Steve Spurrier is EVER allowed to coach at UT, I will either  follow some other team or give up football altogether. Probably the latter. But there is no way in Hades I will ever pull for a Spurrier-led team.

I guess you don't want to win then!!!!! Bring on the Visor, with the "Power T" on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, Tennessee better hope Cutcliffe goes to UK, otherwise Chief might very well go there.

No danger of Chief coming to Lex. They will be looking for a young energetic up and comer. I don't even think the fans here would support Cut. They hate UT.

Kingsport native Steve Spurrier has already been quoted that he no longer considers himself Tennessean. And yes, he has been quoted as saying alot of negative comments about his home state.

They would have to remove the upper deck just to sell the place out if Spurrier came to UT. If he came, basketball would become the most popular sport in Knoxville.

After this year the LadyVols are already the most popular game in town.

If Spurrier had this offensive talent they would have to play every game at Bristol.

That article was harsh.

Now let's talk about Fulmer and Spurrier from this "Bammers" perspective. Fulmer was the whistle blower on BAMA. We fooey, but with the stupidity of Dubose letting his program run amok, who can blame Fulmer for working with the NCAA. As I have told my fellow alumni, we got caught with our hand in the cookie jar. Now, Spurrier, also told on us. But your typical "Bammer" doesn't want to think about that.

I like Spurrier, he is fun to watch, listen to, and talk to. I never met your coach, so other than the typical BAMA stuff, I can't say one way or another. It does seem that TN has more than it's share of "thugs" such as Miami and Granny Holtz's South Carolina, but maybe that is just me.

Spurrier had as much to do with the investigation as Phil. They both told Dubose what was going on.

It is possible that CPF has lost control of this program.

I thought that Spurrier was the one who told the NCAA to go talk to Fulmer about Bama.

I don't know much about that mess, don't pretend to and I don't really care about it. If people don't want to get caught, then just don't do stupid things. That simple.

You may be the first bama fan I've ever seen to realize that and actually admit it!

Most of us who have actually seen the inside of a college classroom know that. We do not LIKE it, mind you. I did then and do now blame Dubose for losing all semblance of control.

If *I* was a head coach and that crap was going on, I would do what Spurrier and Fulmer did as well. (And Jackie Sherrill, and DiNardo..)
