The game was still Hooker's and the WRs to win.

Hooker missed two wide open TDs and threw another one for an interception.

That's three TDs that we left on the field yesterday. Think about that. If the Hooker against Alabama showed up, we win yesterday.

Hooker was very tight had an off day. Oline didn't help him any either.

I still like our chances in a rematch.

This. The defense did its job but the offense didnt show up. Give credit to Georgia for playing the defensive game of their lives as well.

Vols don’t have the quality of OL to stop an elite pass rushing team. You generally don’t get many elite linemen out of the portal and it’s not a sexy position where players can expect much from NIL endorsements. #12 class with a couple of 3* OL aint gonna close the gap. This is not just a CJH issue as we’ve had trouble filling the trenches since latter part of Fulmer tenure.

I strongly disagree with this. You don't know what you are talking about.

I said going into this game the deciding factors were how well Bennett played and how well the Oline protected Hooker.
Most of the big pass plays Hooker has are dependant on him having time to sit in the pocket and allow the receiver to get into space.
Georgia knew that as well.

Yeah! This whole team seemed Flat! I was hoping Hooker would use his legs a lot more. If he would have side stepped a couple of those blitzes, he had some green grass to the first down markers. Those pre snap flags really hurt.

They had some good blitz packages ready ... but there were still some plays for the making, which weren't made.

The disguised blitzes and the home crowd was the major reason uga got so many sacks and pressures yesterday. Georgias pass defense is elite, but our oline can play better then that crap yesterday, it can’t be much worse.

Yes. Our WR were running sprints every passing down just trying to get some space. Hooker was throwing off his back foot the entire game and we were lucky not to have more turnovers. Luckily for the Vols, there are only a couple of teams in cfb that are capable of playing defense at the level we saw yesterday, particularly in 3 technique. We should be 11-1 and everyone should be happy about that.

Hard to throw the football with the rush Georgia was putting on the offense.

I don’t agree either. Our oline has been elite all season, they was effected by that crowd and Kirby dialed up some disguised blitzes to really throw off the rhythm of the offense.
Give me a rematch on a neutral field and watch and see the difference of Georgias crowd not being there and this team with film and experience on what Georgia does.

Guess we watched different games yesterday. Think whatever you want. You’re wrong.
You’re wrong. So Tennessees offensive line all of a sudden can’t compete with the big boys bc of one bad game?? You forget how they played in all the other games?? Take into account the crowd noise,Kirby’s disguised blitzes, and the team playing tight, and you get the oline playing out of sync. Make no mistake this oline is very good and this one bad game doesn’t make me Think these guys can’t compete with the big boys. If we can’t compete then we mine as well forfeit the rest of the games so we don’t go to the playoffs and get embarrassed again smh.

I was most impressed by Georgia’s secondary. From the opening possession they attacked and harassed our receivers. I told my dad that it was obvious Kirby was willing to give up 15 yard PI’s every down in order to take away the big play. Our receivers just couldn’t get open and it seemed Heupel had no solutions or adjustments. The sacks were mostly just Hooker holding onto the ball too long.

One game doesn't define an entire unit ... but it was your comment that there aren't generally good offensive linemen in the portal that I was objecting to. That is ignorant.
Why do you find it necessary to call someone ignorant ?
I seriously doubt the poster is Ignorant .

Both Carvin and Spraggins have been SEC Offensive Lineman of the week at different times. Our offensive line has been fine.

If we play Georgia again what’s a way we could make them pay or get them to stop that ya think?? IMO, we would need to make them respect our run game. Then the secondary would have to pay more attention to what’s happening in the backfield?
