As bad as we got whooped at the line of scrimmage

You’re wrong. So Tennessees offensive line all of a sudden can’t compete with the big boys bc of one bad game?? You forget how they played in all the other games?? Take into account the crowd noise,Kirby’s disguised blitzes, and the team playing tight, and you get the oline playing out of sync. Make no mistake this oline is very good and this one bad game doesn’t make me Think these guys can’t compete with the big boys. If we can’t compete then we mine as well forfeit the rest of the games so we don’t go to the playoffs and get embarrassed again smh.
blah blah blah. UGA lived in our backfield the entire game and we could not stop it.

No, it's not. We are all ignorant about something. I've never met anyone who knew something about every topic.
But I've met plenty that thought they knew something about everything.😉
Again it was uncalled for, but you do you.

If we play Georgia again what’s a way we could make them pay or get them to stop that ya think?? IMO, we would need to make them respect our run game. Then the secondary would have to pay more attention to what’s happening in the backfield?

That’s really it. You have to be effective running the ball. We did very little especially early in the game to make Georgia respect our backfield.

Why do you find it necessary to call someone ignorant ?
I seriously doubt the poster is Ignorant .

That is his opinion of a position on the issue. It is guys from your side that are always defending free speech and pointing out this is a sports forum Yada yada yada. So spare us please.

Was it just me or did we go away from running the ball way to early. I think I remember us opening with like 6 straight passes?? Idk everything just seemed off yesterday, we went away from what’s won us all our games against Georgia.

You're forgetting how we played in some of our wins. Both Florida and Alabama scored on us at will. Both of those game came down to the last minute heroics by Hooker and the offense to win the game. Our secondary has struggled all year and Georgia just exposed it even more. All this noise blaming Hooker is misguided. He was rushed all day and the receivers were covered well by Georgia. Not saying he had a good game, but it's amazing how fans love him when he wins games with his talent and then dump on him when we lose to a very talented team that is the top rated team in the country. Some people watched a different game than I did.

What?? Bro go back and read my post. I was defending Tennessee lol I was saying how the oline has played elite all season and this one bad game doesn’t make me think of them any way. I mean damn did you even read before you typed a paragraph 😂

Heupel knew they were going to be aggressive. I thought we did some good things and had some success early but then the penalties put us behind the sticks. Georgia’s front was great. Georgia line would shift and we would flinch every time… penalty… The lack of discipline from our OLine was the biggest reason we lost the game in my opinion. Hooker was off but he was running for his life and nobody could get open… I suspect we would have liked to do more to establish the run but penalties did a lot to take the run game away.

I was most impressed by Georgia’s secondary. From the opening possession they attacked and harassed our receivers. I told my dad that it was obvious Kirby was willing to give up 15 yard PI’s every down in order to take away the big play. Our receivers just couldn’t get open and it seemed Heupel had no solutions or adjustments. The sacks were mostly just Hooker holding onto the ball too long.
even I knew Kirby would try to play a form of cover two to take away the long ball and control with running game. Appeared early on we were content to take the short pass to Tillman as a base play . Then false starts and caused empty trips and and seemed everytime we called a deeper play they had blitz. I believe the rain in the second half was our friend. We were not going to stop them and their defense was gaining momentum with every possession

I agree, I’ve been saying it since we lost. The pre snap penalties cost us in this one. Always playing behind the sticks, any momentum we get, we took it away. Because the oline never got settled in, the rest of the offense didn’t either. Those guys are the anchors of your team, they’ve been lights out all season, but this one Georgias crowd and disguised blitzes gave them fits all day. All we can do now, is use this as coaching material and learn from it, and improve.
And hope tcu loses to Texas. That’s the most important thing lol

I'm not sure I'd say the defense played great. Once it started raining Kirby went super conservative on offense and decided to be sure he didn't give us anything cheap, gambling that we couldn't score 21 points on their defense in the time allotted. He was right. I don't have much confidence we could stop them consistently if they left the playbook open. I agree Hooker missed two touchdowns, but on that one Ringo picked off, he forced it and a 5 star cornerback did what a 5 star cornerback does. You have to give UGA credit, they rattled Hooker for the second year in a row, harassed him constantly, sacked him 6 times, made him hurry throws. It's what happens when you get whipped on the LOS. We can play them closer on a neutral field and even win with some luck, but they are a really good team.

The game was still Hooker's and the WRs to win.

Hooker missed two wide open TDs and threw another one for an interception.

That's three TDs that we left on the field yesterday. Think about that. If the Hooker against Alabama showed up, we win yesterday.

Hooker was very tight had an off day. Oline didn't help him any either.

I still like our chances in a rematch.

Yep, I would like our chances on a neutral field. Give props to UGA fans they were challenged & they disrupt our Oline. Not just the 7or 8 pre snap penalties but they got them hesitating and waiting to assure no encroach. That’s all the advantage a loaded D line needed to add 7 sacks to their 10 total all year. Think about that. That & the magic punt kept us behind the sticks & UGA great field position. They started 35 yards out after we punted out of our end zone. Also that interception in the end zone got in HHS head. He overthrew 2 TDS that might have been game changers even with all the other hand wringing crap.

Lol.

He criticized the person's argument (as being ignorant), then you complained about him attacking the person, he pointed out the (very real) difference, you said you don't understand the distinction, and now you are criticizing him personally.

Not saying anything about you personally, but your approach here is both ignorant and hypocritical.

GA rushed more than we had bodies to block. That is what happened. We did not adjust. They out-schemed us.

Hooker had a very bad day, a lot of this is just on him. Holding ball too long and overthrowing receivers.
He would not have been sacked 6 times had he made decision quicker and bolted out of the pocket.

As far as talent, our 2-deep is not so low that coaching and qb play should make up for it. Play this game on a neutral field and most likely it is a 3 pt game one way or the other if Hooker has his normal day.
