As of today, 4/24, what is your season-ending expectation?

Why you ask this? You know us Tennessee fans are beaten down and depressed over let downs years after years. Let’s just enjoy this ****. We are watching the best team in history. World Series champions.

What is your season-ending expectation as of today? Is anything short of a CWS title a season-ending disappointment? Be honest.

Vols win it all despite a final game featuring numerous increasingly egregious and obviously biased calls by Jeff Macias. As punishment, Macias is required to kiss TV’s championship ring at LNS with Vols fans in attendance. Then we chase him out of town mad max fury road-style.

I listened to a podcast with Brian Pensky, the UT soccer coach.
He was asked if his team can take it to the next level and win it all.

I loved is answer.

He said winning it all is hard.

You gotta be good.
You gotta be lucky.
You gotta be healthy.
You gotta have an amazing culture.

Everyone knows Tennessee is good and has an amazing culture, they play for each other, support each other and love each other. Hopefully we can stay healthy and have some luck go our way.

I expect when we win it all, i will make every neighbor in my neighborhood really upset, possibly burn 2-3 couches/chairs and maybe a bed and it will be visible from outer space, drink entire Pappy Bottle, get banned from local waffle house, and possibly make the local news.
Those Waffle House employees would be sad to see you go.

To watch and enjoy. Placing expectation on a team almost always leads to heartache. Hell I’ve even got my wife watching baseball now for the 1st time (we’ve been married for 6 years). She was hanging on for dear life today and then texting/posting on FB after the rally. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Not making the CWS would be disappointing at this point. Obviously, it’s a possibility, but given how good this team has been and talk of it being an historically great team, not making Omaha would be a disappointment. In fact, it would be a disappointment to get there and go two and out again too.

Definitely make CWS and then make some noise there. I am still a bit disappointed with how basketball ended prior to the Sweet 16. I find it hard to not get super excited about the team at certain points are reached. After the SEC men's basketball tournament win (I went), I was on cloud 9. I was ready for the Villanova match up and generally nervous about the bad bracket draw we got. It could easily happen to us in baseball. At least we have double elimination in baseball. This teams record has me at the same point. Over the last month, I have been telling everyone to watch as this team is special.

My hope is to make it to the final 3-game series in Omaha.
At that point, anything could happen because of rotation, injuries, luck, I believe with 4+ solid starters the Vols would have a solid advantage. But it is a short series.

If the Vols make the final with this bunch of personalities and are playing a traditional power like Miami or Texas or against faux blueblood Arkansas with that bad blood then the ratings would go through the roof.

I believe it would take a very bad pairing for Tennessee not to make the CWS. LSU fans were fanatical about what they would pay for super regional tickets. No other opponent's fans would pay that much in any real number.

Let's not forget that we and the team as well should just enjoy the journey and that this season is special.

If they win it all it is just gravy and there is no future loss that should take anything away from it all.

Every player on our team right now…

We may lose one or two more but our toughness will prevail in Omaha. This is a amazing ride.

Honestly, baseball is so streaky that I wouldn’t have any expectations. I know we joke, but we could get to the post season and suddenly fall apart. I don’t personally think that will happen, but still.

It’s been ages since we’ve watched a Tennessee team dominant like these guys are doing, I’m just enjoying it, no need for arbitrary expectations

Great point. Just take it one game at a time and enjoy the ride. This has been an incredibly fun season to follow.

I keep thinking of the SEC Shorts videos about Georgia and the girl named Hope. Not hitting my hopes up yet. Let Arkansas have her.

MLB takes us on for the second half,we win 81 games out of 81, we win the MLB World Series. Anything less and we shouldn’t have gotten out of bed.

Top 4 in the CWS would be outstanding, and with the way they are playing, I'd probably be disappointed if they didn't get that far in the post-season. To be in the final series would be phenomenal. Winning the championship would be magical because that takes not only a lot of skill, but also a lot of luck.

Question I have for all you folks who follow the team a lot more closely than I do: Will next year's team be even BETTER? Or will MLB snag some of our guys? And if MLB does steal from us, do the recruits we have coming in look good enough to keep it going?

Yes, yes and yes!😎
…I would lower my expectations for next year, somewhat. 2022 has been historic thus far.
