You could tell who the players are and who aren’t. Some excelled and some melted away. No names necessary it was pretty obvious.

Where is James? I’ve read several places where the tests and examinations show no damage, but his knee “just doesn’t feel right”?
Somebody needs to crap or get off the toilet

Arizona was our toughest test so far. Their bigs are tough! This game was always going to be a battle. Obviously the foul disparity hurt but I thought mostly we were fouling. Certainly they missed the call on Santiago under the goal. That hurt! And we can not have Phillips disappear especially in this type of game. But this loss won’t be bad at the end of the season.

The officiating definitely favored Arizona but not to the level some are carrying on. They attacked the rim more and this was a big part of the foul shooting discrepancy.

Who would that be? I seen two that played really well. Arizona's front court is legit with size and speed.
Well to bad he was on the bench for most of the night because the DUMB things he continues to do. Just play ball and stay out of their faces like he is an All American. It made a big difference with his size sitting on the bench. I couldn't tell what he was saying but I think Barnes told him more than once when he went to the bench

You are wrong about that. The refs missed at least 8 moving screens on Az, but they did manage to call 1 against TN.

Don't forget about the touch fouls, Phillips box out foul.

The Refs made Az look 5x to 10x better than what they are.

I feel like sometimes people feel like pretending the officiating was balanced or close to balanced makes them seem removed from it all, a more mature fan with a better perspective or something. That may be true when the officiating really isn't that bad, and I admit its a vice of mine to be overly critical of officials, but when its obviously one sided it should be named as such

We attempted 9 more total shots than they did, and only 3 more 3s. Key literally got tackled down the stretch and there was no call. We got called for 9 more fouls than they did. They shot 17 more FTs than we did. It's not to say that they didn't deserve to get most of those calls, but for us to only shoot 10 FTs in that kind of game is more than BS.

To be fair, we win this game if Key could've made 2 of the 3 wide open threes he had down the stretch, regardless of the refs. We played pretty well overall, we just miss James as someone that could possibly get you a bucket when we're struggling. Phillips has lost a lot of confidence over the last couple games, maybe hit a little wall. I expect he'll bounce back, but he just hasn't been very good as of late.

Better now than later. I think he will be fine.

Nah, I agree Aidoo got physically abused but it was by a potential, first team PAC-10(12) beast and Tubelis is a future first round pick. Aidoo has a role and by the end of the season, he will exceed it.This team will be fine with or without JJJ
Uros. Aidoo is weak

Aidoo is better against a lot of the more modern offenses that use more athletic bigs and punish you more on the perimeter with switches. He’s fast enough to guard the pick and roll and rarely in a situation like last night where he’s outmatched by sheer size.

What am I wrong about. I said the officiating favored Arizona. Are you saying it favored Tennessee?

Aidoo is bigger than Tubelis. He doesn’t match the speed which is why Tubelis easily dribbled by him for bunnies 4-5 times. Now if you’re talking about the big dude who’s still standing in the lane, then yes Aidoo was overpowered. Both those guys were bad matchups for him.

On a side note, that was a sweet left handed hook for him!

We do not have a way to score when the shots are not falling. No one can drive and force a foul. It looks like he has Phillips playing that role but he is 20lbs away from accomplishing it. Defense is solid but the offense has holes.
