Holly is not going to do this. She wants her assistants to be good recruiters and fulfill the role she fulfilled for Pat. Holly and Kyra Elzy did not get along because Kyra was more into player development and offensive/defensive schemes than recruiting. Holly believes that you will win games if you have a full bench load of talent. This is true to some extent. However, that talent must be developed and coached per offense and defense. UCONN is the supreme testimony to this truth.

Do you have a link or source for where it was said that Kyra was more into player development and offensive/defensive schemes than recruiting?

I saw a source that stated Holly was dissatisfied with Kyra's recruiting effort last year. The other part of the comment is from observation and deduction.

Lmfaoooooooooo lol....observation huh? So you were able to deduce all of what you said from watching the games on tv? Or do you happen to attend practice?

You'd think that after years of offensive problems, the coaches would install a new scheme, focus on player movement, ball movements, screens, shooting, etc., and fix the recurring problems, but it doesn't happen. Same issues, year after year.

You would think that she would go and get help in this department. She again talks about this post game but they repeat same mistakes. I know holly had no control losing Andrea and then Tea and this is this teams biggest weakness true point guard play. But she should have had recruited one really good Freshman that could be helping this team.

Well Nate you may be right but recruiting has been piss poor other than this group coming in and a few players who have been a hit and the most being a miss. So those so called recruiting coaches you speak of must have all fell asleep last year.

You are so wrong. Any other top program in the country would have developed out players and we would still be a top five team. The Coaching Staff not only fails in coaching from the bench, but they are never prepared. Just saying, I wonder who will have a career night for Notre Dame.

I can't believe we're back to bashing Holly over recruiting again. She recognized recruiting was an issue, fired an underperforming recruiting coordinator, and hired a new one, who in combination with Holly and the guard coach, is bringing in the number one recruiting class. And we've got a top 25 player already committed for 2018.

And we've got people demanding in another thread that we bring the previous failure of a recruiting coordinator back as a head coach. Seriously?

Not sure who was wanting Elzy back but she was Hollys hire in the first place. No one has said recruiting now is anywhere near poor recruiting. There is also development in the process as well.

Also another top player announcing today according to people who seem to know!

I agree with you....you did not. Many others agree with your posts as well and that leads to your excellent post/like ratio. Keep up keeping it real.

Thanks, Rick. I could not sit here and let someone suggest Jolette, Dean, or any of the staff is lazy and just say nothing. If I didn't know for a fact that was NOT the case, I would stay silent. I don't know if peoples' frustrations are causing them to make irrational posts or what, but this is an assumption made by someone who has obviously not been around these people and witnessed their intensity and work ethic, not to mention their character. I had to repond.

results matter, and their results so far on the court has been "crap"

they might be the best of assistants in the ncaa but our team is going backward faster than ever.
