Just saw on CBS Evening News. What does this mean for the SEC Network? I was just about to switch to U-verse.

Per direct tv ( my wife called) they will have the sec network. She told them we would cancel their service if they don't work out a deal. They gave us a 10 dollar credit every month as a token of appreciation.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

If they want to remain the largest satellite provider they will get it. Direct and the SEC Network need each other. They are playing a game of cat and mouse now, both trying to get the best deal possible.

I'm wondering if I should switch from TDS internet service once the transition is made. I'm sure ATT will offer a discount if bundled with DTV. I need to see what kind of lines ATT has in my neighborhood... love my TDS fi-op

Hope this turns out better than the XM/Sirius merger. Went from paying $4.99 a month to $7.99 a month and I recently dropped them when they sent me a letter saying my new rate would be $17.99 a month.

They call me all the time now, begging to come back but im not paying close to that for a product that hasnt improved over 10 years

Sigh...

We wish we had better news, but Pennsylvania isn't in our service area.
Our wired services, like U-verse, are offered in select areas of 22 states, mainly in the mid-west, southeast, southern plains, Nevada, California, and Connecticut.

Man, around and around. Anybody remember all the baby bells from years ago when they busted up AT&T. Well they're still around in all kinds of guises Verizon and many others. I can see'em busting them up again with too much of a monopoly and price gouging.

I'm still using them, but the merger is a joke, you can't get the same channels between the two
