I still think even HOF-quality managers are wildly overrated as to how much they help the team. Two games in the standings, maybe? But I must admit that Fredi Gonzalez has opened my eyes a bit as to how much a really awful manager can hurt. Or at least appear from the outside to hurt.
No doubt I'm being a little irrational about it because A) the guy thinks the exact opposite about everything I believe about baseball, and B) the guy is clearly such an idiot. I want him out of my life.
