Not trying to brag folks but my 2nd cousin for the Rome Braves is wearing it on the mound: Devan Watts Stats, Highlights, Bio | Rome Braves Stats

Has 0.00 ERA in 7 games pitched out of the bullpen. 1st 4 games was with the Danville Braves. The last 3 games has been with the Rome Braves since being called up. He advanced that quick from Danville to Rome.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him make another jump to the Carolina Mudcats(high A ball) very soon.

We will have chances to see him pitch in August(if he's still there at Rome) when Rome plays at Hickory August 11th-14th. That's not too far of a drive for my family. We plan on staying probably all four nights in Hickory in a hotel room. They also play @ Asheville which is a much closer drive for us on August 19th-22nd.

Hopefully we will get to see Devan pitch at least 2 nights of the 4. He pitches out of the bullpen so he might even get 3 appearances out of those 4 games.

He is being used as the closer for Rome just like he was with the Danville Braves. He has two total saves thus far. He pitched a couple games early as a setup man.

Thanks & wish him luck. He might one day be pitching on TV with the Atlanta Braves. I really think he has the stuff to be a 4th-5th starter in a rotation one day if not for the Braves another MLB club.

It's actually 21 innings in 18 games all across the minors, and he's gotten better as he's moved up ... 12 K's the past 4 innings. Coming back from Tj surgery, I'd say that's really impressive.

The 5 innings was in reference to your AA comment. Like I said, he will be a good bullpen piece. I don't feel like arguing the rest

1) you have the L-R-L-R thing going all the way thru and 2) Aybar is terrible. D'Arnaud had 3 hits the other day and you reward him by putting him back on the bench?

I agree. They have no clue as to what they're doing. Snitker won't be back as Braves manager in 2017 for sure.
