I'd like to thank all of you kind Evertonian fans who allowed me to tag along and have a rooting interest in the EPL while my team toiled in The Championship, but after 7 long years Middlesbrough FC is back in the top flight!

Good luck Blues but this season (and hopefully not just this one) my chant is Come On Boro, Come On Boro.

Best of luck to you guys this year. If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you end up as a Middlesborough fan? It's been years since they were in the top flight, so I don't ever remember them being widely available on TV here in the states.

Was just nothing more than a timing/coincidence thing. Back when FSC first started showing a majority of games (there was no Extra Time to literally see every game but it was still a lot) and so everyone in the house that I lived in who were soccer fans decided that at that point in time we had to pick our teams. Always hated United, Chelsea and Liverpool. Liked the way Arsenal played but just didn't want to front run with one of the "top 4". Tottenham was appealing but one of my friends had already decided on them and I figured it was going to be more fun if each of us for rooting for someone different.

Then we watched the season preview show before the first game and I discovered that Middlesbrough was lead by a manager who had to appeal the league to be allowed to manage because he didn't even have his license yet. Had two fat ass (by soccer standards) strikers, a 19 year old phenom in Stewart Downing (who is on the team again now), and a marking back who was coming back from what I thought was some sort of PED related suspension the previous year in the form of Abel Xavier. Turned out it was just a cocaine suspension. Add all that to the fact that they were projected to be about a 12th place finish or so and I thought that was definitely not a case of front running but also not too big of a chance of relegation. In about 3 seasons I was proven wrong about the 2nd part.
