I will say, he isn't my first or even fifth choice, but I think he would do well.

I've said it before - I'm not sure it's possible to win at Texas anymore like they used to.

I don't buy that. Texas is still a football crazy state with plenty of talent to go around for Texas, A&M, TCU, Baylor, and all the rest. No reason to not succeed.

They've been awful since losing the championship game. A big part of that due to their big money having waaaay too much authority and they didn't like Strong.

His last two Louisville teams were very good and he's going to continue what Taggart did at USF. Plus we all know he can recruit.

Again, not near the top of my list, BUT I wouldn't be totally opposed.

Strong didn't get it done on the field. Money/booster influence shouldn't have anything to do with that, aside from maybe the weight of expectation. He can definitely recruit, but I don't think he would excite the fan base here, which you could say that for probably any hire not named Stoops, Gruden, Kelly, etc. If none of those guys, give me an exciting up and comer.

Tom Herman could definitely prove me wrong soon, but Texas isn't the same with the emergence of the other Texas schools. But I agree with you.

1. Frost
2. Mullen
3. Taggart (unlikely)
4. Brohm

I'd be really happy with any of those.
