Just looked at the internet for the first time all day. I know I've had a lot to drink, what with my buddy the Asian Sensation in from California, but surely it's not possible that the Braves are willfully paying $6 million for Trevor Cahill? WTH?
I've been hearing all spring about how the Braves' rotation is going to be so good that there's no way they're going to be sub .500 and now suddenly here they are paying six fscking million dollars for a guy off the shltheap with arm trouble. I enjoy the yearly longshot reclamation project as much as anyone but I don't understand paying real money for it.
Watched the newest Fast & the Furious last night. Same as the others basically. Similar plot, there's a few predictable cheesy lines, and the action was really good in this one. The Paul Walker tribute at the end was pretty sad.
Agreed, went down way early though. I don't hate the Cahill move anymore, it's slowly starting to grow on me. The Roger angle is solid. I doubt it will happen, but I'd like him in the pen, ultimately I could see more value in trade returns for him in that role. Could be way wrong there.
Floyd was pitching well again this year and had the same injury I believe.. He was looking really good for us.
But yeah, you can always deal Cahill again if he turns it around.. He is young, and we gave up nothing.. If he turns it around, another team could see value in his two options years, or we can keep him and benefit from them.
Technically I saw it but I'd be lying if I said I remembered it until I saw the highlights again this morning. Half day of work today so ole Noch was feeling pretty good last night.
