@DOBrienAJC: Of 197 MLBers w/ PAs to qualify, ex #Braves Gattis is No. 197 in BA (.109) & 194 in OPS (.355); Heyward is 166th (.193) & 168th OPS (.523)

Gattis trade was a stroke of genius, Heyward still has his best days of baseball ahead of him IMO, he will be fine. But he won't be worth the wages he will get. Return was pretty solid. Justin Upton trade was awesome. Kimbrel trade made a lot of sense, all-in-all I was a big fan of the moves personally. Especially as more time passes.

Yeah we had to get rid of that boat anchor which was "Melvin" Uptons contract. Much like we had to get rid of Dooleys stamp on the FB program the Braves had to get rid of Wren's stamp.

Guess Freddie, Andrelton, Julio, and Wood gotta go then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Comparing Frank Wren to Derek Dooley is pretty silly. He was hugely unlucky on two big contracts when two established, solid major leaguers turned into doodoo the second they walked into Turner Field. Most of the rest of what he did was fine, given his constraints.

BJ Upton sucked, but I would've made that signing 10/10 times. He was exactly what we needed at that point. It didn't work out - but it made sense.
