It's definitely not an insult. Memphis is great. I'd just rather argue about religion or politics than barbecue. And I'd go with Chicago as the place where rock and roll emerged out of the electrified blues rather than Sun Studios, but I don't feel that strongly about it. No place is more important to both of those quintessentially American things than Memphis though.
