1st season was definitely better but i like this season. I didn't expect to see what i saw in the latest episode.

I didn't care for the initial intro of the Korban group, but Joe could take that in a good direction. To borrow a Good Ol' J.R. phrase, "Business is about to pick up."

Yep, but i think i may have missed something. Go to The Following thread, i don't wanna spoil anything for Brown if he gets around to watching it.

Realistic, sound, well-reasoned thoughts on Martin potentially taking the job at Marquette...likelihood, pros/cons, etc....

Go.

Given that I don't think Martin is the long term answer, this could turn out to be the impossible dream. A Sweet 16 tournament run AND we just get to move on and take another shot at getting the right guy. Sure, there's also a real chance we end up with someone comparable or worse.

Well, first I wonder why Buzz left Marquette. Evidently he didn't feel the love anymore or felt like he needed a new challenge. He was also receiving much more criticism than he was used to previously. Maybe there was more to it than that, I don't know.

Martin would be THE guy there, as basketball is THE sport. I could certainly see why that would appeal to him. However I could also see why that would make him a poor fit.

I kinda think he'll stay but his agent is leveraging everything possible to get him a great contract.

If he leaves it tells me that he is willing to settle for good instead of trying to be great and that maybe he's not as "tough" as he claims to be...

Unless they throw crazy money at him, of course. JMHO

I regarded this as the best possible outcome until I read about the crap with the boosters' planes. If that's true, then every potential candidate will know it, and what decent coach will be willing to hitch his career to a place where the boosters will cut your balls off like that? If Cunozo flees then I don't see why other coaches wouldn't regard this job as poisonous. I'm far less optimistic about being able to hire the so-called right guy than I was just a few days ago.

Finally watched "Idiocracy" tonight. It's one of those movies where the premise is so great that the actual movie can't quite live up to it, but it's still something everyone should see. It's the future.

And just like that, Everton now hold all the cards for the final Champions League spot. Next weeks game with Arsenal will be the most important of the season.
