inside the perimeter or outside the perimeter? if you live here South Atlanta means south of 20 and inside 285. but you may be looking further out.

the best short answer I can give is east of 85/75 are some nice areas. there are some nice ones west, but it can get very bad very fast.

are you looking for schools? transit? club scene?

up near the zoo is nice. Grant Park, Ormewood Park, East Atlanta Village.

if you want outside the perimeter Jonesboro and Stockbridge are decent places. Don't know anything about Hampton itself.

I know it well. Really depends on what you want... access to Atlanta or something slower paced with less traffic... Golf?... Rural? I'm about an hour south of ATL myself.

Personally, if I worked in Hampton, I wouldn't want to live north of town up toward Stockbridge/Jonesboro. It's traffic hell at certain times. I'd go south toward the Griffin area or maybe west toward Fayetteville.

Dont want much to do with the city of Atlanta itself. Looking for a big house, basement, an acre +, but not so rural that I have to go to a Big Roscoes Grocery instead of a Publix. Golf is a plus. I had planned on moving onto a gated golf community here in Orlando but thats changed.

Low crime as well.

Didnt consider stock bridge. I will work in Hampton at an FAA center so I am trying to stay within a 40 to 50 mile radius of that.

I plan on getting a list of towns, neighborhoods, etc, and spending a week up there just scoping out areas.

When I toured Atlanta center they recommended Peachtree City, McDonough, Newnan, or Senoia (where walking dead is filmed)

You will be fairly close to me, couple of hours depending how south you get. If you have crime issues, let me know. I'll bring the crew down 😆

Get a promotion or just transferring? I’m not sure how things like that work on your side of the operation.
Promotion. I'd never transfer to Atlanta! Gonna work at the AOCC, next to ZTL, for a couple of years.

It's a joke about how much Atlanta is spreading.
