Attendance under Martin

UT and it's attendance lies. I went to the UT VU I think in Pearl's last season. They announced 16,000 attendance and there was NO way the place was half full. Football #s is the same sham. Who truly could know if our cooked #s are being compared properly to true #s, cooked #s, or worse cooked #s?

How come when the govt lies to us it's called politics, and when we lie to them it's called a felony?

I aint mad at attendance. Im pissed at the administration that played "Biggest **ck" back

in the day that wanted to build TBA and tear down the raucous Stokley. Had to beat KY in seats.

Like a damn airport hanger.

Too be honest, can anybody think of another place to play college ball with a worst atmosphere than TBA??

So the moronic portion of the fanbase is being dwindled.

Don't see the problem.

No potential for UT (or other) athletic director here. The football program usually carries the others, but when football has been off for 4 years, 2000 empty TBA seats is attention getting.

Last game I attended was when pearl was coaching. Place was packed. Attendance announced was over 20k. I hate to see how it is now regardless of the coach.

I calculated 13,403 average for Buzz.
19,414 for Pearl average

Wonder if that's enough to force a move?

As I mentioned in another thread, is Hart good with in between buzz and Pearl ball, or does he want the program at the level it was under Pearl?

Time will tell.

IMO, probably not. We are in the tourney, even though it's by the smallest of magins. Hart doesn't make a move this year. I do think he will next though. Attendance wouldn't have been sliding if the schedule was better anyway. Taking out the KY, Memphis, Texas, Kansas, UCONN, type teams and leaving only FL as the only big ticket game all year was recipe for disaster. VA would have been a big draw if that game was in Feb instead of Dec. Need at least 3-4 big games with attendance at 21K+ and there would be no issue at all with attendance numbers.

So you think he just stands pat after the year, no extension or raise probably?

No, I think a raise and 1 year extension. Can't handcuff him anymore than he is from recruiting since he didn't get an extension last year. If he takes next year's team to the tourney, then he will probably get a 2 year extension and raise, IMO. I don't think he will take us to the tourney next year. Just my opinion. That will be the final straw that will probably send CCM packing. I do think he doesn't feel the love from the fans and maybe we make a run and he=is name is shopped around at the EOS, Best case for his future IMO.

10 years ago, I would've agreed with the TBA-atmosphere issues.

However, after the 'refurbishing' of the arena and some good bball during Pearl's years, I would argue the atmosphere was much better.

I think next years attendance will be much closer to the Buzz years than this year. It has been creeping that way each year even though this was supposed to be CCMs best team. Next year the team will be around a 500% ball club which will put CCM a lot closer to Buzz than Green or Pearl in overall win %.

Green 71%
Pearl 70%
CCM 60% (Currently)
Buzz 51%

If CCM is retained Hart will not bump up the buyout too much. He will not tie our hands and put us in a bad situation like Hamilton did with Fulmer.
