Attending the Music City Bowl. Any Nashville restaurant recommendations?

A lot of my go-to’s on here. Love Gojo and Kien Giang.

I’ll also add the hot honey pepperoni or white pie from Smith&Lentz (brewery in east Nashville with killer pizza)
Good one to add. I haven’t been there but have friends who have.

Had a wonderful time in Nashville. Thank you to the Tennessee folks for an outstanding bowl experience.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to the city and had a good time at the bowl game (I imagine your team winning helped a bit with that).

If you don’t mind me asking, where all did you end up going while you were visiting?

Sure. Our plans abruptly changed Saturday afternoon as the guy who I was going with was diagnosed with walking pneumonia and couldn’t go. My son was driving up from Tampa and altered to meet in Nashville. I drove myself and left St. Louis mid Sunday afternoon. Ate at Rafertya sports bar in clarksville on the way down. Great place.

My son has a PhD in playing the bass so we went to Rudy’s jazz room and he sat in and played a few numbers at their Sunday night open jazz night. Outstanding environment and atmosphere. Loved it. We stayed and based out of the holiday inn stadium and walked over from there. Went to the Johnny cash bar for lunch. All places were packed and a lot ran out of food from the weekend they said. Many wholesale food delivery trucks delivering Monday we saw. We walked the downtown music strip of stores and restaurants. Saw Briggstone arena up close. The streets were packed solid with many more Mizzou fans than Iowa fans. We travel well.
Every restaurant had live bands up and down the strip and downtown. Great weekend for the Nashville economy. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thanks again.

Jeff Ruby’s for a steak if you’re prepared to spend. It’s a regional “chain” with 4 locations or so in the mid-south.
Best steak I've had.

There's 5 now. 1 in Lexington and the other 3 are in Ohio. That ain't the mid-south lol.

There’s one in Louisville, Nashville and Lexington those are the mid-south. My family is in KY and my wife is from Nashville so that’s what I keep up with. I don’t google their locations in irrelevant locales, I just know the ones I’m familiar with.

But is a top 2 steak in my experience and the only one close is Maestro’s in Phoenix.

The original is in OH....so still not mid-south

And Louisville might as well be OH lol

Fried Bologna Sandwich at Robert’s Western World
Coconut Meringue Pie at Elliston Soda shop

I second Kayne Prime.. very good, sort of quiet, romantic.. Bourbon you gotta have reservations pretty far in advance.. fantastic views

If you like to eat lamb as much as I do, you should be told that nobody does it as well as Edessa, a no-frills Kurdish restaurant on Nolensville Pike.
