Completely agree. No way I would trust him as our coach. We need a coach that does not bring any baggage with him.

From what I read this morning, Auburn is looking at Petrino and James Franklin (!). Arkansas no one knows about (one of the most realistic predictions I saw had the prophet Elijah as HC).

Where did Art Briles name come from? Jimmy Hyams likes to throw that name around a lot. I horse laugh every time I hear it.

According to Scout his classes have been ranked #64, #44, #33, #42, and next year is currently ranked #68 in spite of Louisville being in a BCS bowl.

No doubt he's a good coach but he can not be called a proven recruiter, at least not when he's the one in charge.

Hey everyone, this is what ignorance looks like. Charlie Strong can't recruit because his best recruiting class to UL was only #33. (Petrino's best class there was in the 30's also). Ehrmagerd!!! his recruiting class for next year is is ranked 68!! Can't you people see he can't recruit!! The next person that says this and doesn't mention the fact that he only has 9 commits in this class because his team is a bunch of freshman and Sophs needs a swift kick in the junk. Oh thats right...he just won 10 games and the Big east with a team of freshmen and sophs...just saying. UL only has 11 or 12 seniors graduating this year..that is why the class looks that way.

Truth of the matter is Strong recruits exceptionally well for offering a ford taurus when other schools are offering a cadillac (that is just a comparison of facilities and what not...not actual cars). If you read any articles about any kid that he has recruited they always have great things to say about him and say they would love to play for him. His reputation on the recruiting trail is almost Fulmeresque in how high regard he is held. The problem isn't him, it's what he is trying to sell to kids that have offers from the powerhouse schools.
