As you probably recall, the team was completely flat that day. If we had had Saban as coach, that wouldn't have happened. But even the meanest coaches have a hard time getting their team's attention after a National Championship.

It appears to me that on plays where they do not blitz they are simply keeping Cam in front of them and forcing him to make the first move, allowing time for additional defenders to help with the sack. Also, it appears that Alabama's defenders are large/athletic enough to take Cam down one on one.

The importance of a great Defensive Line just cannot be overstated. I think Ends are huge too. if you can pressure a QB with four men, you've got a defense!
