With all due respect to the Auburn gentleman, auburn has never had to serve a 3 yr death sentence like Tennessee did with Dooley. Even though they have been on probation more than anyone in the SEC, they've always had players.

Very nice gentleman with his family. He said that we are basically going through what they did last year. They won 2 games last year. He said that Tennessee is coming back and everybody knows it. Obviously he doesn't read VN.

Like it or not we have won the games we were "supposed" to this year and beat USCjr as a bonus. We will win out and go to a bowl. Calm down. There is no way on earth that anyone has played a schedule like this, maybe ever.

GBO

Calm down......geez...we are getting killed on defense! Our defense is worse than last year thanks to Jancek! Why don't you wake up to reality!!!

We've been going through what they did last year? BS! They had a bad year, fired their mistake, and brought in the guy who won them a championship not too long ago.
Meanwhile, I've lost count on what year we're in for "rebuilding".

Dude was feeding you a line to be nice.

As to whether or not CBJ is the right guy, only time will tell.

For over a decade I've lived an hour from the lovliest village and about 90 minutes from the gates of the evil empire known as 'that red team'. Trust me, Vol fans have much in common with AU faithful. I will readily greet my AU friends with a big "War Eagle" (and mean it) but would never utter those words the 'red team' people scream! All week, my AU friends and I spoke respectfully to one another leading up to the game. Tomorrow at work they will compliment Tennessee (even if they have to make it up!). Not so with my UA friends a couple of weeks ago- they were more obnoxious on Monday after the Bryant-Denny visit than they had been on the preceding Friday... AU=class; UA=crass...

We're not considered to have the strongest or most difficult schedule this year. Either second or third.

Find one team in the country that's played 7 top 10 teams...Not to mention the #1 and #2 teams in the country...It's mind boggling.

Auburn fans have always been cool with me. One of the better fanbases in the SEC.

A good buddy of mine went to Auburn. He didn't text me at all during the game. I texted him after saying basically, 'Good game. We played poorly and you took what we gave you. Enough about that. I appreciate you following the unwritten code of decorum during the game." He basically wrote "Ha. We shall not speak of this, and shall remain friends."

Therefore, Auburn fans may not be that terrible. :good!:

Yeah, people have said that. Of course, anyone who believes it has to be smoking rope. I'd love to see a case made for any team's schedule being tougher than ours this season.

I agree. It's called us being a rebuilding team. They don't want to nominate us as having the hardest schedule because we obviously aren't contending for a bcs bowl and its not a good storyline. I think Ohio state is ahead of us and anybody who has any common sense would say that's ridiculous.

We need to beat Vandy and Ky. If we do, everyone will forget about this terrible cluster of games. If not, Butch is gonna get heated up- fair or not fair. It will happen. 6-6 is not an unreasonable expectation with the cupcakes on the schedule like WKU .

I was sitting beside Auburn fans that were students at the university that travel to all the away games. They were very impressed by our crowd and noise. They kept saying how much better Neyland atmosphere was compared to A&M And other stadiums they went to. It was nice to see people impressed. They stood the entire game. I think that made the people around more upset than them cheering for Auburn.

Any bowl game we might get this year will be against an opponent that will be awfully difficult to get excited about.

I've had enough excitement ever since we went up 7-0 on Oregon. I'll take Tarleton State with their starters all out with the flu.

i dont give a crap about the sec taking it home i am a UT fan and for anybody who plays bama!!!!! my parents raised me right.... id rather florida state take it home then alabama

This could not be said any better. I would love to see Auburn take a dump on Bama in the Iron Bowl. Then, I would love to see FSU win the NC. For the trifecta, I would love to see Nick Saban leave for Texas and witness the implosion of the fan base of Bama. They truly believe that he will stay there forever.

I live in Alabama also. Trust me, there is no comparison between Alabama fans and Auburn fans! Alabama fans are arrogant and rude. Auburn fans are salt of the earth, and they hate Bama more than we do, because they have to hear it everyday of their life! I want the SEC to win another championship as much as anyone, but if it has to be bama, then I hope we don't win! I can stand a year of listening to the media talk about how we didn't win the championship but not another year of listening to the Alabama fans! Go Tigers! War Eagle! Go vols! beat Vandy!

Add to this AJ McCarron getting passed over for the Heisman. His arrogance combined with his whiny baby comments about feeling disrespected by UT having the audacity to call them the red team, plus his post-game comments about wanting to play the whole game and put up as many points as possible against UT, and I want the little tool to be shut out... and up. I will LMAO if he doesn't even get invited to NYC, though that's probably too much to hope for.

We aren't going anywhere until we learn to tackle.
We can't cover on special teams.
We can't stop the spread.
We can't stop bubble screens.
We can't stop stretch plays.

Signing day can't come fast enough. I'm not disappointed, as myself and others on here, didn't get hyped over beating USC jr. That does not change what realistic fans expected this season, it was a gift. Getting to a bowl game and getting that practice time that comes from the end of the season to the bowl game is crucial in conjunction with being seen again on a national level close to signing day.

I sat in zz15 and had a lot of Auburn fans behind me. They were all well behaved and seemed like decent people. I talked to some while getting food at halftime and they were impressed with our coaches and such. They were saying they knew we would be back soon.

section P row 4 which where I was had a rather obnoxious Auburn fan that finally (thankfully) got escorted out by the police. All the other fans I saw at the game were cool, with the exception of the lady who kept screaming war eagle while waiting for the shuttle.

I was in Row 5 and know exactly who your talking about. This guy was the biggest moron ever and Auburn fans around him was telling him to shutup and sitdown because he was making them look bad. He was giving everyone the bird and sayin f*** Tennessee. He said I paid a bunch of money for these seats and said I'm not going anywhere that was until the cops came and took his ass out. I think that was the biggest cheer of the game on our side when he was getting dragged out lol.

I disagree. If you lived closer, you'd think they suck.

This. I live in Birmingham and get it from both sides right now. Bammers have collective blackout between 1992 and 2007... And the barners act like because they got Cam Newton a couple of years ago, that they are truly relevant on an annual basis... Ready for them to crash and burn.

For the record I do have very nice Bama and Auburn fans as friends, and it REALLY chaps my arse to get pity from them right now too. Just sayin...

Go Vols!

Hi Ohio State. Why aren't you number 1 or 2 again? You haven't lost a game in 2 seasons......

Oh it's because your conference sucks? Want to know what's funny...... some of our fans wish our conference sucked as bad as yours so we could go undefeated and still not make it to the NC.

Florida State is laughing at you.
