Auburn VS Missouri game thread

Auburn is just hoping they stay close and bust one play for the win.
Given how inept Missouri’s offense is with its starting QB leaving the game with ann injury and down to essentially a 3rd string QB, yes. I would stay that’s exactly what their game plan is at this point.

TD pass from Thorne to Cam Coleman on a 47 yard pass.

Makes it 10-3 Auburn with 12 minutes left in the 3rd.

It’s still early in the second half but I wouldn’t be surprised for that to be the game determiner given Missouri’s QB situation.

And if I’m reading that correctly that’s game. Special teams mistakes just put a nail in the coffin.

(Returner didn’t call a fair catch, muffed the punt return, and it’s returned 15 yards for a TD)

I don’t know if Mizzou with a backup qb counts as a signature win but if you’re Auburn you’ll take whatever you get at this point
If you’re Auburn you’re just trying to make a bowl game. Win today and then try to beat Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and ULM to get to 6 wins.

Looks like Drink is standing on business.
Starting QB’s gone and they’re down to a very bad 3rd string quarterback (kid’s played all 3 quarters and it currently…[checks stats]…10 for 21 for 78 yards).

This offense couldn’t stand if it had crutches and were leaned against a brick wall at this point. They may legitimately be staring down 6-6 or 5-7 if they're going to have to use this guy for the rest of the year.

Ok, apparently despite the ankle injury that made him leave the game in the 1st, Missouri’s decided to force Cook back out there at the end of the 3rd.

Is this going to be a Condredge Holloway moment for Brady Cook?
Well, he at least got them down the field so they could run in the TD to start the quarter, and he ran in the 2 point conversion himself.

17-14 Auburn right now with about 13 min left in the game.

Looks like at around the 9 minute mark, Auburn’s switched up to just run as much clock as they can and pin Missouri deep to start their following drives mode.

(After the Missouri TD, Auburn’s made sure the Tigers next 2 drives started at their own 19 and their own 2).

5 minutes left and up 3 at Missouri’s 37 following the punt, Auburn can milk this down and either make it a TD-needed-on-the-last-drive game with a FG or seal the game with a TD.

Or Auburn can choose to play it safe, go 3 and out, and make Missouri start at their own 5 with 4:26 left in the game.

2 minute mark. 17-14 Auburn with Missouri driving, 2nd and 7 at their own 39.

They’ve gone 34 yards this drive almost entirely from Missouri’s QB Cook running the ball with a bad ankle.
