Availability Report Vandy Week

Uhh Smith is more athletic than Telander by more than a slim margin. Smith is just young and learning.
He looks like he’s getting adjusted to the weight he added. He was a lean speedy LB coming out of HS. Beginning of the season he did not look too good in his movements. Last few weeks he’s improved a lot.

As much as I respect Pavia’s ability, we all know our reputation against backup running quarterbacks.
Yawn. Pavia is that team’s beating heart. Without him they wouldn’t have a prayer against us. Also he’s probably a better runner than the backup. He leads them in rushing for Pete’s sake.

I’d like to encourage him to sit and rest for the bowl game. Do we send another QB to the sideline this week? I’m wanting to say only 2-3 have finished a game against us.
Our VOLS have knocked a lot of QBs out this year - and some more “out” than others. Don’t want to see anyone injured of course, but rattled and questioning their reason for playing football Saturday afternoon is fair and square. Remember the old bumper sticker - ”Hate Vandy Early - Avoid the Rush!” GBO!

Don’t forget thought that Tennessee has ba d habit of making backup QBs for the opposition look like Heisman finalists
We’ve played a backup QB in almost every game we’ve played. Any looked like a “Heisman finalist”? Nope…think it’s time we stop with that trope.

I hope Spillman can make a lot of progress during postseason practice so he can contribute next year. He could be really good.
Agreed. After Pili went down, we lost a presence from inside. Carter has been good all around but you need more than one guy.

Yeah Arion tries his hardest to make up for some of the other guys’ deficiencies but that’s too much to ask. I thought Telander would be a lot better than he’s been so far. He shows flashes but sometimes puts himself in really bad positions. Still really solid just thought he’d take it to another level this year.

It’s game 12 and he has the same amount of tackles he did overall as a true freshman.

very surprised by his lack of effectiveness.
Luckily Smith has stepped up.

But we will NEED Spillman, Harmon to play huge minutes next season.

I almost wish we would go after a portal LB
