Avatar bashers

The unobtanium was a little gay but damn it's just made up word. I liked dances with wolves but it's hard to sit & watch it all the way through all at once, this movie wasn't hard to at all if nothing but for the visual effects.

How were the actors terrible? How was the story terrible? CGI was a big part of the movie but it was a good movie regardless. U can compare the story to something else but there's not a single movie u can't do the same for. There's gonna be haters no matter what with anything.

Stories can be similar in different movies, but acting and good screen writing set apart the great movies from the mediocre. Avatar stays with the mediocre group.

You can reply, rant, rave and holler all you want about this movie but it's not going to change the fact that some people find this movie to be crap.

Not "understanding how people can be critical" of anything is a reflection of your true intelligence. It's called opinions, they are like buttholes.

Relax buddy. It's just a cartoon movie.

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. Your being critical of my opinion so what does that say about ur own intelligence?

Not sure why I am entertaining this but, where exactly was I critical of your opinion? Please tell.

In your OP you clearly state, "I don't understand why some people are critical of this movie." Myself and a number of other posters simply respond by telling where we think this movie is lacking. Unfortunately you are unable to comprehend these replies and are way to sensitive to the criticism of a cartoon.

Haven't seen the movie but I can tell you that I would hate it...it's one of those movies where the trailer tells you everything you need to know.

Um guys....

Unobtainium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and if it's on wikipedia...

yeah, we know that "unobtainium" is an actual term, but you'd think that a corporation that uses bulldozers that are 10-stories tall and has a bio-engineering department capable of neural-net remote-piloted cloned natives could come up a more original name.

heck, "mega-anthracite" is more original.

It's a visually stunning movie, but quite dull at times, predictable and full of stereotypes. Not worth the hype.

Visually it's good.

That's about it. Story is cliched and way too preachy. I actually found it to be kind of boring. I'm overjoyed that it lost to The Hurt Locker, a film that Avatar isn't even in the same league as.

I'm looking forward to the real Avatar movie, of course, it's title is "The Last Airbender" but I think it's going to be way better than Cameron's ode to "Dances With Wolves".
