The titans are just physical not dirty. I also like that finnegan is back to his old form.

That's because you're a Ravens fan. The Steelers didn't complain either a few weeks ago. That's because we, fans of tough teams, understand the difference in physical and dirty. I doubt you would hear a peep from the Ravens, Jets, Steelers or Bears about other teams being dirty but when you play a super soft team like the Broncos, they get their panties in a wad when someone pushes them around.

Here's to you, Ravens fan, for understanding what real football is about. :toast:

Uh, the Titan's are dirty. There's been pretty much a fight in every game the Titans have played this season for a reason. The biggest reason is Finnegan is extremely dirty with after the play slapping and hitting (who knows what he does that we can't see).

You can be dirty though. Nothing's going to happen from it unless one of the fights escalates. But don't ***** when other teams call you out for it.

Speaking of *****ing...

How's that Brandon Marshall-for-Tim Tebow trade working out?

Hopefully if we ever suck enough to earn a top 3 pick we won't waste it on Vince Young.

Brandon Marshall is way down the list on the Broncos' problems. The Broncos aren't very good, I admit that. But the Titans are dirty.

Yeah, trading an elite WR for Crybaby Teabag is much better.

Because the Broncos' passing game is really missing him?

I don't know how Tebow will turn out. Any QB can succeed in this system though. If McDaniels makes him the man, he will put up numbers. The obvious problem with this spread is that it sacrifices the running game. And I wouldn't say Marshall is elite. He is much slower than other elite WRs. When he was training with Fitzgerald and company during Fitz's offseason camp in Minnesota, he finished more than 10 yards behind (edit: actually just read 20 yards) the rest of the bunch for each 100 yd dash they did. He is a good possession WR who has power to break away from tackles. Right now he is the highest paid WR in the NFL due to the Dolphins. A situation very similar to the one in San Diego where they are getting nothing for Jackson except we got two 2nds for a player who wasn't going to be here next year.

Again, if you watch the Titans and the rest of the NFL, there's a reason there are fights pretty much at the end of every play. It's because all of the behind the refs' backs slapping, shoving, and trash talking the Titans do, in particular Finnegan. It's happened the last three weeks. Nobody should be pitching a fit though until it escalates, at which point players will get suspended.

Vince Young is a starting quarterback, good luck on Tebow ever reaching that point.

and considering the legacy of dirty players for the Broncos (Bill Romanowski comes to mind) calling out the Titans as dirty is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Odd, I seem to remember there was plenty of whining from the Titans staff, players, and fans that the Steelers played dirty.

Over one play that was, even by the league offices opinion, way over the top. Nobody complained about the team, or even the game, as a whole.

The frustration over the non-penalty three on one pile drive WAS warranted. This is just a weak ass team whining for attention.

The Titans, Steelers, Ravens, etc are throwbacks to the old days IMO. You should always play to and a little after the whistle honestly. A defense should do everything it can do to get under an offense's skin, case in point the Titan/Giant game, we pushed and shoved all game and finally the NYG lost it and retaliated and cost their team the win. As a Titan fan I don't care if we get called dirty but I love our defense plays tough, and aggressive football and plays a little chippy at times.

At the rate we're going eventually the NFL is going to wind up as a flag football league. You can't even touch a quarterback let alone hit them, Goodell has ruined the league IMO, and the protection QBs get is retarded.

The NFL's way of handling pass interference and spotting the ball on the 1 yardline. It was a good call but I like the college 15 yard penalty better for pass interference.

That and conservative Jeff being a little too predictable handing the ball of to CJ late in the game. I realize you want to run the clock and let Denver burn their T.O.'s but there was too much time left to go that conservative before Denver's last scoring drive in a one score game.

it's a better rule. there's really no reason in the pros that a say 40-50 yard pass to a near wide open receiver that's incomplete because I try to tackle the player should just move the ball a little over 10 yards

the problem with the college rule is that it gets used as a cop out when DBs get beat on a passing play

i honestly think he was complaining about it though more than "calling out"....like he wanted someone to penalize them about it somehow

I'll say the thing with finnegan is two sided though. Yeah he does get up in people's faces alot (I feel Ray Lewis did too in his younger days) but these guys are taught by their coaches - since even middle school - that if you hit back, you're going to get penalized: always. That's very much discipline on your (the coach's) players' parts, too, just like any penalty....I've seen countless teams in this league once they find someone's buttons are easy to push on the field keep trying to push them all game long

(also, he gets called for when he does things bad/ against the rules...i'm not sure he's a "guy who gets his punches in when the ref's back's turned")

don't go that route; i've heard alot about McDaniels having such a big mancrush on tim tebow that he'll likely be just handed the starting job beginning of or midway through second year....oddly that will be a lockout though
