I just think the passing per attempt is probably a truer stat. 3rd down conversion (accept a little higher maybe 5points leeway for the amount of 3rd downs faced)
I just watched the Florida game again and man we were terrible on passing situations.
There was no doubt about it that we had issues in the passing game and that has followed Martinez a lot of places… it is what it is. No one thought that he would last a significant amount of time here… he was the same in the butch years…
He doesn’t teach ballhawks he just teaches tight coverage and stay in their pocket. Nothing wrong with that. But call it what it is.

I’m of the opinion that PPG is most important defensive stat as the team who scored the most points wins the game. Who’s with me?
I don't think PPG matters when you're considering that amongst teams that run a variety of schemes. We don't play the same game as many teams.

I think PPP should matter most to us. Our games have more plays and possessions than others do. We're gonna allow more just by the opponent having more chances.

Not sure if PPP is a stat in football, and how you factor in "end of half" type drives and "take a knee" drives, but I bet our staff is all over it.

Yes as long as there is consistency. You can’t let mediocre or bad O’s light you up even if your average is good

But there are some things that have to happen to achieve those things that are measurable like 1st downs per drive, 3rd down efficiency, average drive length in yards and time, etc

Heupel’s model isn’t classic. The D’Souza job isn’t to “win games” as much as get the ball back so the O can
