Tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson, who was ranked the nations No. 2 junior-college tight end in the 2018 class, arrived at Tennessee in May as one of the Vols most anticipated newcomers. He appears to have a relatively clear path to immediate playing time at tight end, if he can pick up the offense quickly, and the work he has done this summer only has confirmed that he should be viewed as a legitimate contender for a starting job going into preseason camp.
Sources have said that the 6-foot-4, 257-pound Wood-Anderson has been a difficult matchup at tight end and a reliable option in the passing game during 7-on-7 drills, although its worth noting that the Vols will learn plenty more about him along with their other tight ends once they practice in pads next month.
I think this guy is going to be a huge difference maker for us this year. Talking heads dont know about him, we dont either for that matter, but hes huge, strong, good blocker, runs like a deer. I think hes going to be a big big addition for us
Wouldn't suprise me if he went nuts on West Virginia. Could see them being a team that would have no clue how to stop a guy with his ability at that position
Hes going to be a freak imo. Cant wait to see him
I remember an interview that was on sports animal where they were interviewing a guy who covered WVU and I think he said they were really thin on scholarship linebackers, so that may be what we need to exploit. Its been about a month since the interview so I could be misremembering it, but I believe it was linebackerWouldn't suprise me if he went nuts on West Virginia. Same here. I had the pleasure of watching his highlight film during the recruiting process and I thought then that he had the potential to be an elite TE/WR.
Yes, WR. The kid can also line up at wideout and stretch the field. He is as you put it, a freak.
