B1G (Ohio State) Privilege

Again, you act you are "sptting facts" but so far you're relying on "should have"....Kentucky "should have" been good, Texas "should have" won the game in a walk. Neither actually happened, so I don't really care what "should have" happened.

I never said the B10 and SEC had the same level of competition, I said you're using some SEC blinders logic to try to prove your point. Saying UK should have been better, actually trying to use Miss St. as some kind of point for your side and dismissing bowl results and falling back on tried and true "If you can't see something, you're just stupid or lying" tells me this isn't a serious discussion, you just want to b**** about the B10.

You're right about KY and Miss. St. My point was more about the quality of play - the Big 10 is like watching paint dry outside of OSU and Oregon - and how handily the top 2-3 teams beat the bottom 3/4 of the league. You rarely if ever get a Vandy-Bama or KY-Ole Miss result in the Big 10.

I would say ND has the advantage of any program for the playoffs.
To get there sure. However if they fix the automatic bids where teams like Boise St and Arizona St did not get byes like they did. Notre Dames path would have been more difficult even this year but especially going forward as they will never get a bye because not being in a conference. That itself is where we know they will almost always be able to get in the playoffs by cherry picking their schedule. Once in winning the extra game might become more difficult.

Can you not say that usually about every NC team? That's nothing new.
No, because not every national champion had two losses heading into their national championship game. 2007 LSU was the last 2-loss champ and prior to that it hadn’t happened since 1960.

Michigan beat Ohio State in Columbus
Vandy hadn't beat bama.in how many years ?

Ole piss just was so bipolar this year, nothing shocked me tbh with them. Boat racing Georgia, and losing at home to Kentucky.

Make it make sense lol

The big ten had three traditional powers also down
Michigan, Washington and USC won't be like that all the time, of that im sure. Too much $ in those NIL

We’ve probably already seen the lowest number of SEC teams that will make the 12-team playoff, ever. It took fluke losses to really poor teams by Ole Miss and Alabama for them to miss the boat. That won’t happen very often. Are we seriously going to cry because 3-loss SEC teams didn’t make it? SOS matters, but at some point you have to be able to, I don’t know, beat the worst Kentucky team in a decade.
Not sure it's a fluke. With parity, dynasty's are a thing of the past. I think we will see more and more of these bad type losses. Like our loss to Arky, Ala's to Okla or Vandy, Ole Miss to KY. I think we will be getting 4 SEC teams a year, especially when it goes to 14-16 teams. JMO

That will definitely start changing with the CFP playoffs, no matter if it's 12 or 16 teams.

Exactly. It took many years to get to where you could get #1 and #2 to play. That's only happened for a short part of history. Almost every year, just like clockwork, you'd have 1 or 2 unbeaten top tier teams. Very rarely you'd have 3. Almost never 3. Nobody wanted to see a 2 loss team get a shot at it until now. You have to go back to the wild west of awarding national championships.

before the dynasties it wasn't bad losses that ended most championship runs for teams. there was usually some "hump" they couldn't get over. Fulmer with Florida is a great example.

I am too young to remember exactly but I doubt Miami and Nebraska were losing too many head scratchers. I am sure there were some, but usually it was a loss to FSU or Oklahoma that gave them an L during that time.

If they fix the automatic bids there is nothing to stop Notre Dame from getting a bye. As it currently stands Notre Dame will never get a bye because only the conference champions get a bye but if that is changed there is nothing to stop ND from being one of the highest 4 seeds.
