Bad news from the game today

I listened to 104.5 and 990 all day yesterday doing a roundtrip from Clarksville to Knoxville and back, and every show talked about that...

I hope they can still get Gruden, and that Hart comes to his senses....losing Gruden, and then getting Golden, Briles etc...would be a travesty

Give Gruden what ever he's asking for outside of Academics and compliance

Thank you for the confirmation. People are trying to shoot the messenger instead of saying thank you for passing information on. I hadn't heard any of that until today...

Anybody who has had season tickets is a booster. Heck there are fans of other schools who get season tickets simply to not miss games making them boosters of us as well as their school. Being a "booster" is not magical. Even someone who contributes say 100's of thousands is just one among MANY.. So they are a booster, that doesn't mean they are Haslam's confidant...

I don't take issue with a deal falling through unless something is signed there is always that chance...but hearing stuff at game...is never a particularly good source.

sure...we're at a point in the program, that folks want to grasp any straw that shows were still in the running for Gruden

Gruden has nothing to prove in Tennessee! Yes I think we could be good with him but if not he looks like an average coach. I would love to see him walk the side lines in Knoxville but If he doesnt produce what is his worth?

He would produce...No question about it, Recruits would line up to play for him.

yeah , but do they all serve mimosa's? ...the man said he drank not one but TWO mimosa's before he left the game before it started to run home and post on Volnation

There is still a chance a SEC coach owns him, it happens. Remember Fulmer couldnt beat the Ole Ball Coach, it could happen and Gruden knows it.

AND they had a buffet brunch complete with a dude in a big white hat making omelets and sandwiches. I didn't partake in the food in case you were wondering :)

No but your booster buddy at "the brunch" with mimosas probably has. You would be able to see through it if you opened your eyes and ears just a little. Mimosas at a tailgate??? Was it indoors at the Carousel?

I don't think that is it as much as this guy quoting an anonymous "high level" booster. There are only 5 of those as far as I know and I would be willing to bet they weren't at a "Mimosa brunch" running their mouths. I personally don't think he is coming but it has nothing to do with this OP and his "high level booster". All this secret stuff is just too much for me to believe. If "something was signed" 2 weeks ago, there is no way in hell that it would stay under wraps. Simply, NO WAY. I think we are going to get a "good" coach, not the HR that everyone wants, but a good coach. Kinda sucks but that is what I have learned from being a UT fan for as long as I have. We want/expect the moon, UT rarely delivers.
