That will be a great hire for them or just about any other team in this conference outside of Kentucky or Florida.

Stuff like this makes me think they got another one over on UTK by dumping Hart on the Vols.

I don't think you can blame Hart for Marshall not coming to UT. I think there is some resentment back to 2011 when Hamilton hired Martin.

That would be a giant step down compared to where he's at. He would be wise to wait until a program that has fans that care about basketball comes calling.

Big issues for him are: 1) being at a basketball school or at least one where basketball isn't overshadowed by football; 2) winning.

Bama will never change on #1 and #2 will take time.

I'd be shocked if he'd make his move to a big conference involving UA. He's making about 2 million now at WSU.

A million more is a compelling reason to at least strongly consider I'd imagine.

I don't care what anyone says, Alabama, or any other Power 5 job isn't a step down from Wichita State. There is more money and better resources at Alabama. He could recruit better athletes to Alabama too. All it would take is a little winning. The simple truth is, in the grand scheme of things, Bama can offer more to him overall than Wichita State can.

Didn't really mean it that way. When Hart arrived there was an assumption that we were getting access to the same sort of A list coaches that he dealt with at FSU and Bama. It's starting to look like someone else held those connections and we got the empty suit.

It also looks like he'll take a dip next year if his big 3 leave. Stock will never be higher.

I believe the two underclassmen will stay if he does. They also have a really good recruiting class coming in. Wichita State won't slide as far as one may think if everyone stays. I doubt they fall very far at all.

Power 5 conference or not, Bama basketball is an afterthought at best. Not sure his ego will allow him to take that kind of job unless he gets 3 to 4 mil per year.

Nebraska recently finished building the most state of the art basketball facilities in all of D1 and Marshall said no thanks. He turned down a basketball school on basketball country in NC State. Quit overreacting to everything like you always do without doing research. You also can't blame Marshall on Hart. That blame goes to Hamilton.

I think if Marshall leaves its for a job in the South. Turning NC State down, if it got that far, is kind of surprising given his Carolina roots. I don't think a school like Nebraska does anything for him.

Money, facilities and a great bball conference. Nebraska does a lot for him.

And I wouldn't post it if it wasn't true. He told NC St no.

Not if you don't enjoy living in BFE. He's already there at WSU but it's a better situation. I've read about the NCSU stuff, I mean true as if it got as far as an offer. I know he had conversations and removed his name.

Don't talk about what you're clueless about.

Or keep babbling foolishness. Whatever

What's foolish? You said Nebraska does a lot for him then turned around and said he turned them down. It obviously doesn't "do it" for him then. I'm not talking money, facilities etc. He turned down the job so apparently he doesn't want to be there.

You're so privy to Marshall, so why did he turn down NCSU and Nebraska? Will he accept a Bama offer?

College basketball is a coach driven sport, even moreso that football. Wherever Marshall goes he will draw players because of his past success and having put guys in the association. It won't matter if his home court is in a hay barn as long as his guys get media exposure, which they will, he'll be a draw for recruits. I think most people recognize this and that's why we don't want to see him at another SEC school.
