FYI i live in boaz alabama about 20 min from Gadsden City.
I was talking to a guy that plays football there. He his only a sophmore and he believes bama will be put on probation. He said dre kirkpatrick was bought a 2008 dodge charger buy some alabama ulumni.
I took it with a gran of salt but thought it was interesting and thought i would share.
thoughts?

Nothing ever came out of the reggie bush saga at USC did it? I know they where investigating it but sounds to me like they just have swept it under the carpet.

Because it is USC. Pete Carrol said he could not keep up with all his players so he was not sure if someone from the school bought it or not. And did i say it is USC
Im just sharing what he said. Im almost 90 % positive this happened but if anything comes out of it i dont know

What! Alabama paying players? Say it isn't so, i've never heard of bama paying players. Anyone seen julio jones driving around tuscalooserville in his hummer? I'm sure he'd clear this nonsense up about players receiving hummers or cash or sex for play. Get nick on the line we know he'd never lie about anything.

No man i believe you about dre kirkpatrick. I was just wonderin if anything did ever come out of the reggie bush saga. Didnt mean to come off as if i was trying to say that it wasnt true or if it was nothing would happen.

I am Jack's indifferent brother Jed... This happens everywhere, all the time. When I was at UT I saw players with rides they could not afford all the time. I think maybe a local dealership hooks em up with a covert co-signer. When they hit the NFL, or after school, they pay em back...

Consistent with a few other reports.

I'm sure the story is true...but all these rumors is infuriating. I want solid evidence. I want actual NCAA investigations so I can rub it in the bammer fans face I have to deal with everyday at work. If I come to them with a rumor on a UT fan board I will get laughed out of the room.

Let's not forget Tee Martin's Tahoe folks.

Like Smokeyman said, this happens everywhere but I'm not so sure it's always a fishy situation. Most of these deals are probably interest only for the first few years (until they get to the league). Considering 80% of of former NFLers are broke 2 years after they retire, I'd say a bank would almost rather own a loan from a future NFLer than a former one.

If all they will buy him is a piece of junk like a dodge charger, he should change schools. He needs an Escalade to be showin' at the clubs with his posse.
