Yep and it's been down hill for the football program ever since. Too bad most can't put two and two together. Popular choice is...... It was all Phil's fault.

Him and Dickey were tight. I think Tennessee is coming out of it a little bit now. Dooley is a better fit, looks like he'll be here for more than a couple of seasons, should help things a lot. Not sure he'll ever achieve greatness, but it's going to be better than what we've been seeing for the last several seasons.

I think Dooley will do quite well. Whether that will translate into championships is up for debate; the SEC's a tough conference.

But he won't embarass UT, and that should count as a major victory.

It's the toughest conference. Dooley has said all the right things, smart guy, seems to relate to kids well. I think having a QB now should set them up for a couple of good years in the near future.

Yep. Y'all are much better off and lucky since Lil Lane got that USC opportunity and bolted before he did any further damage. I think Dooley has what it takes and he had the cajones and confidence to belly up to a very challenging and fairly risky "rebuilding" situation in the ultra competitive SEC. UT will do well to stick with him and give him the time it's probably going to take to fully show what he can do -- several seasons at least.

This is directly from the report from the NCAA published June 11, 2009 (3rd page, 4th paragraph under Committee Rationale):

“All of the textbooks and materials were either returned at the end of the semester or charged to, and recovered from, the student-athletes’ receivables account, as was required by the institution’s textbook program. The investigation did not reveal that anyone converted the books or materials to cash by reselling the items, and did not reveal that anyone acquired items that were not academic in character, such as personal electronics devices or clothing.”

i cant beleive they sign 28 over in 4 yrs thats a whole other big class lol wow

and i bet that 28 would rank as a top 25 class too
