Bama DL Raekwon Davis suffers gunshot injury

Don't get so worked up. Its quite common for homicide investigators to work cases where people have been shot. The Homicide commander was the person quoted.

Trying to be clear before someone accuses Davis of trying to obstruct a murder investigation.

I was just repeating what the article said. I agree there was no homicide. Still pretty idiotic of him not to cooperate.

I wasn't there. For all I know Davis didn't see who shot him, was drunk and tires and didn't feel like talking to the cops while being stitched up.

Captain defensive rearing his ugly head. If you don't have anything to hide, you cooperate so they find and prosecute the person who shot you in your leg. C'mon man. Saying he was drunk and tired and didn't feel like cooperating...you're stretching.

And before you get too worked up in your Sabanesque fervor, I'm not at all saying he does or should have anything to hide. Nor am I suggesting he was up to no good. I'm just saying you cooperate if you're a straight up victim.

What level of cooperation does a victim owe? He quite clearly spoke to the cops. They refer to his statement in the article. He didn't stay silent. What else should he have done?

He gave them a statement.

“The victim told investigators he was standing outside of Bar 17 when he heard several gunshots and realized he had been shot in the right leg,” Homicide unit commander Gary Hood*told The Tuscaloosa News. “The victim was uncooperative with investigators.”

We get it, you guus got a clean program there, and never have to worry about the NCAA looking into anything.

Hey Taylor, i know UGA kicked you off the team and you have pending DV warrants, you are just the kinda guy Alabama is looking for.
DJ, can you not rob anymore students please?
Oh the player that has an altered firearm? He works hard in the sun all day, so we will handle that internally.
And after having a player arrested for DUI, now we defend players not being cooperative with police officers.

Sounds like you guys are churning out quality young men there. Just dont ask Saban about it or he will yell at you.

I literally posted a qoute from the i investigator saying he was uncooperative.

Continue defending idiots because they are good at football.

The same quote references the victim's statement:

"The victim told investigators he was standing outside of Bar 17 when he heard several gunshots and realized he had been shot in the right leg,”

The same quote references the victim's statement:

Let me help you out there bud. In cop language, that means the "statement he made abouy standing outside the bar like a choir boy and a bullet hit my leg" is most likely a lie. That what " the victim was uncooperative" means.

Not a rant, just comes for 13 years of Law enforcement experience.

No need to get all worked up buddy. Noone at the NCAA or University of Alabama iz going to say anything about the amount of felons on the field or in a recruiting class as long as they are winning, so calm down.

No one is worked up. I'm disappointed you won't be displaying more of your psychic abilities.

No psychic abilities. Educated guess based on lots of experience. Happens in every work field.

Im sure the statment will go something like " Im disappointed in the action, glad he is okay, it will be handled internally, glad you all are intetested in the game."
