Bama getting close on coach . . . Rich Rodriguez

I am sure he would be great, he is experienced anyways with the SEC during his time at Florida. Plus hes a top notch coach.

Stoops is a great defensive coach and good head coach. When he picks a great offensive coordinator, he's a national champ contender. Otherwise, he's a top 20 guy.

It's fun and sad at the same time when you go to tidefans dot com. They really think Saban and Stoops are possibilities. They aren't! I'll gladly eat crow if it happens, but it just doesn't make sense. I'm not even sure Rich Rodriguez or Petrino want to come to Alabama right now.

Paul Johnson? sure
Jim Grobe? sure

Next, we'll hear Pete Carroll and Jim Tressel have been contacted.

Was making a comment...but seems that same WVU team did pretty well against the SEC champs last yr

Yes, they did. I personally believe the spread option will do fine in the SEC, we just need to see it in consistent action before we can tell if it's successful down here.

Correction - it worked well in the first half; 3 more minutes in that game and that is a WV loss.

We will see how the spred plays out, my guess is that it will do well for a while and once it is seen on a more consistent basis that the SEC defenses will adjust and it will be no more effective than a balanced attack.
