This is Alabama's 8th straight game. They've lost a game each of the last 4 years they weren't expected to lose (Ole Miss 2014, 15, Auburn 2014, OU 2014, A&M 2012, etc.), yet still have recovered to win the National Championship a number of those years.

This one will be closer than many expect.

The only way Bama doesn't beat aTm by 20 is if Kiffy tryies to throw the ball all over the field.....

If Kiffy comes out and decides to pound the rock then Bama will put up 42-49 points on aTm, too!

You can hate on Bama all you want, but they are just plain 'ol disciplined, physical, and very good! :salute:

Right now I don't see anyone coming close to Bama other than Ohio State. I know they had issues with Wisconsin but that's a solid football team. They'll smash Clemson, Washington, Michigan etc

Ohio State was not impressive against Wisconsin at all....They're good, but they're definitely beatable...
Michigan's defense will definitely give lil' Urbie dyspepsia before that game is over....

I wouldn't count Clemson or Washington out of anything at this point. Washington has a great DL and a smothering D....

When was the last time a #1 team was a 17 point favorite against the #6 team? I'm guessing it wasn't during my lifetime and I've been around since the 50's.

The line is 19 in some places now.

4 times in last 30 yrs has Top-6 meeting had line greater than 2 TD.

01 Fla -16.5 v Ten L 34-32;
96 Neb -17 v Col W 17-12;
94 Fla -17 v Aub L 36-33
'94 1 FSU -16.5 v Neb W 18-16

Alabama vs A&M would be the 5th

So not only did all of the underdogs cover, but 2 of them won outright.

And the largest margin of victory was 5 points!

If A&M loses this game and Alabama covers the top 6 matchup by 19 points, it will be the first time that has happened in the last 30 years.

I'm an Aggie. We aren't talking like we expect to win. But, we are confident that we have a quality team who has had some time to get healthy. That's key.

Obviously, TN would have given them a different game had they been completely healthy.

You win or you lose. Injuries are not an excuse at this point. We didn't lose. We got embarrassed off the field. Saban uses your kind of confidence as motivation. A&M is not 100% anyway. I would take 20 in this game. He will destroy you.

Actually, A&M is 100%. Everyone will be back.

Sumlin uses the under dog role as motivation. This is a different A&M team.

I have family in Fort Worth and I love Texas.

But Alabama is absolutely going to destroy A&M. I hope not because like I said earlier in this thread would rather play you all in the SECCG.

Laugh all you want, I'll quit *****ing when we field a team that comes to play alabama. UT is supposed to be going after them. I really have no idea what we are doing right now.

Let me ask you a few questions...

Do you think saban and alabama wants revenge against trevor knight?

Do you think saban and alabama are comfortable with playing A&M, and in fact, has revamp his team to play A&M?

Do you think Garrett (who has been hobbling around one 1 leg for weeks and all of a suddenly says he is miraculously 100%) is any better than Barnett and Vereen?

Do you think Sumlin and A&M talk is DARING him to embarrass A&M at home after a huge momentum win at knoxville.

Im 38 and once upon a time felt don't rearrange the division to correct Missouri being in East and bring Auburn to the east and Mizzou to the west. They say we would lose our yearly game with Bama. At this point it's a huge advantage for everyone in East that avoids Bama. I've conceded for our well being to scrap the tradition mentality.

What is the overall consensus from a&m fans then? I'm curious but I just don't care enough to research. Personally I think Alabama wins by 21+. A&M was seriously unimpressive despite their win against UT.

Alabama better watch out because we have trevor knight and he has beaten you before and he will do it again.

and

We have pass rushers that will get to you and stop Hurts.

If Trevor Knight has some more wild throws which he most likely will, Alabama's secondary will put on a clinic.
