Respectfully, yeah no, there was also a huuuge talent gap LSU vs Bama, and UT vs Bama, and we saw how that went.. on paper, Bama should have demolished both teams lmao

Alabama was fine until they were beaten by LSU and did not win their division.

Much like Tennessee was fine until we lost UGA and did not win the East.

We were fine when we lost to GA. If we had beaten S.Car we would have made the CFP

We could no longer win the East once we lost to Georgia. And the way we lost indicated that we were not physically ready to win the natty, because we'd have to beat Georgia again. Losing to UGA was our issue. Because it showed us who we were, and who we were not. In my opinion, Tennessee is still trying to win the East, and then the SEC.

That South Carolina game was an embarrassing loss. One that was never close. But it didn't tell us anything we did not already know from when we lost to UGA. Sneaking back into the playoff would have been cool. The Orange Bowl is cool too. Either way, we have the same issue heading into next year. Beat Georgia, or hope they lose twice. Or we can't get to Atlanta.
