Hey, I agree with you. Our home schedule and OOC matchups are garbage next year too. Lamar, Rice, SMU, and ULM.

I will say this though. We open on the road vs SCAR so thats a bit better than your matchup with the Methheadneers.

It's really brave of the Aggies to take on that game that they had absolutely nothing to do with scheduling.

Even more so for your head coach to insist that he values the Tenn/Bama rivalry. Sack up and lets play 9.

My head coach is the only one of the 14 SEC coaches who wants to go to nine games. Maybe you should be telling your head coach to "sack up."

Yeah, you're probably right. Many of the coaches, especially at the less successful schools, are going to adamantly argue for their schools to still be able to schedule 3-4 easy/more-than-likely wins a year, especially since a record difference of just 1, 2, or even 3 losses can cost them their jobs (and an inflated say 8 win record and recurring bowl appearances can make recruiting pitches have a bit more umph).

And the ADs probably just see it as throwing away a home game's worth of ticket revenue. Have any changed their view on it?

Granted, the actual decision comes down to the university presidents.

Wait, nothing personal, but why counter with that?, Isn't the only reason you guys are playing South Carolina because the SEC decided to keep the cross-divisional rivalries/matchups plus they wanted to switch it off so that Missouri and Arkansas played each other yearly?

WVU was coming off a 40-point win in a BCS bowl when we scheduled the game. I fail to see how it's Bama's fault that the Mountaineers went in the crapper.

Tough schedules has never been Saban's strong suit. Why won't Ala do home and home with teams like UT, SC, and others. Don't recall Saban doing it at LSU either. And we know Saban runs that stuff in Tuscaloosa and would be shocked to see him schedule an Oregon, Oklahoma or any other top 25 home and home games.

As has been mentioned before, see: WKU, APSU, and USA.

Look in the mirror!

Its one thing to schedule Oregon, Oklahoma and others we have done and have a few easy games but not what Bammer does. They never do home and home with top 20 teams. Could you ever see Saban going to Oregon or Oklahoma to play? No just play in atl every year against mediocre teams.

Well they did a home and home with Penn St a few years ago.

It's not Saban's or Bama's fault they're picked for neutral site marquis games. You're making the argument that Bama won't go on the road, but these games also mean they're not playing the game at home.

Why do home-and-homes? The neautral site games give you much more flexibility and allow you to play in recruiting hotbeds like Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston.
