I think Bama will fight for their lives to defeat Miss State and lose to Ole Miss in Oxford which will end Alabama's chances for the SECCG and the Playoffs.

They'd be yelling FIRE SABAN for the next few weeks to come
If they drop another so that they miss the SECCG, there absolutely will be calls from some in their media ecosystem for him to step down, as stupid and petulant as that would be. Seriously. They are getting a potential narrative lined up already. I've seen from some of their fans on social media that he looks more tired than years past (which I don't necessarily disagree with), and the Will Anderson comments about them having "anxiety" before the game were odd.

I also think their fans are getting stressed out by the number of close games they've played the last 2 years. UF and Auburn almost beat them last year, and Texas A&M and UGA did beat them. This year, they flirted with losses to Texas and Texas A&M, and had a close game with Arky for a 3 quarters, and then lost to us. Most of their fans think they should curb stomp everybody, no matter if it is an FCS school or a top ranked team.

Yeah i really think Nick Saban will hang it up if Alabama is looking 10-2 at a New Years Six game in the face. Like i said earlier i think a lot of people will be shocked when Nick's replacement winds up being Dabo Swinney. I think Alabama would also look at Penn State head coach James Franklin,Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh or Ohio State head coach Ryan Day.

None of them are leaving their current job to be the guy replacing Saban.

Just out of curiosity, who do you think will?

I highly doubt their fanbase will be happy with their administration going the cheap route.
I agree my early list of 6 possible replacements for Nick Saban

Dabo Swinney Clemson
Ryan Day Ohio State
Jim Harbaugh Michigan
James Franklin Penn State
Kirby Smart Georgia
Dan Lanning Oregon

Dabo Swinney Clemson - maybe
Ryan Day Ohio State - he would not
Jim Harbaugh Michigan - he would not
James Franklin Penn State - maybe
Kirby Smart Georgia - no way that he would
Dan Lanning Oregon - maybe, but I would doubt Bama would entertain the idea

Hopefully bama will do what they did in the 80s to mid 00’s when they just hired former players/coaches who were under Bear Bryant with little coaching experience with the exception being Stallings. Maybe we can see a parade of Saban disciples like some Derek Dooleys, Butchs and other idiots to sink their program for a few decades. Nothing is more entertaining as when that program is spiraling.

The only one of those you mentioned I could possibly see taking that job is Franklin. I agree with @hog88 that the guy who replaces Saban is a probably a guy who isn't currently on anybody's radar screen.

Before he took the Miami job, I would have put Cristobal at the top of such a list, but he's home now as well like Kirby.

Swinney, Day and Smart have built or are building their own dynasties and wouldn't move.

I think Harbaugh is fairly set and Michigan would pay to keep him.

I don't think Lanning is "successful" enough long term to placate the Bama admin.

Franklin would jump in a heartbeat, but I'm not sure Bama would want him.

But I would add Lincoln Riley to that list. And probably Chip Kelley.
