Several had already jumped to Georgia last year. I imagine some of the rest are about to jump as well. They will use excuse of Smart coming from Saban system and they are Saban fans or something like that.

I always liked MattBGreat, not the most knowledgeable guy but seems like a solid guy. He, despite being a Bama fan, even points out how ridiculous the Alabama fanbase has become. Watch this video if you want a good laugh.





In many ways, Alabama has the best fanbase in the sport because of how ridiculous they can be. It is like a meme goldmine.

Bama will still have a talented team, but they are being purged of their high-quality depth. They also have a tough schedule next year with games at Wisconsin, at Tennessee, at LSU, at Oklahoma, and Georgia in Tuscaloosa. They could reasonably lose 3-5 of those games. They also have Auburn & Mizzou who could be tough outs at this point. It may be a brutal year for them in ‘24.

I just hope we're one of the teams that stomps a mudhole in their @$$.....for seventy years in a row. I have an Alabama acquaintance that has just been so smug since Saban has been there, blamed all their past problems on Fulmer being a rat when we were beating them, etc. I kept telling him Bama's day will come when Saban is no longer there and you will take a step back. Not only will you take a step back, one day you will cycle down pretty hard and you better just hope it's not as bad and as long as Tennessee did. Personally, I hope they cycle down for 100X longer than we did. There's some Bama fans got it comin' to them.

And if you ever said anything about Saban paying players, squashing discipline issues with his stranglehold on the media or anything slightly negative, Bama fans swore up and down that they didn’t have the same issues that literally every other program has, that Saint Nick only went after the highest caliber people (and coincidentally highest caliber players), that he didn’t squash stories and so on. I really hate that they have to lower themselves to deal with issues like us common programs now.
