Bama will still have a talented team, but they are being purged of their high-quality depth. They also have a tough schedule next year with games at Wisconsin, at Tennessee, at LSU, at Oklahoma, and Georgia in Tuscaloosa. They could reasonably lose 3-5 of those games. They also have Auburn & Mizzou who could be tough outs at this point. It may be a brutal year for them in ‘24.
And if you ever said anything about Saban paying players, squashing discipline issues with his stranglehold on the media or anything slightly negative, Bama fans swore up and down that they didn’t have the same issues that literally every other program has, that Saint Nick only went after the highest caliber people (and coincidentally highest caliber players), that he didn’t squash stories and so on. I really hate that they have to lower themselves to deal with issues like us common programs now.I don't think it's petty at all. How long have they had this smug, looking down their noses, attitude toward us and most everyone else in college football. It's one of those rare times you get to see a little karma go someone's way.
