That would back fire. Don't think for one minute Vol fans would not organize and purchase a bunch of Bama gear then go to Birmingham every year we play them and rush the field every time they beat us to cause a forfeit.

Byrne should be summarily fired just for the stupidity of saying something so obviously embarrassing to the university. Alabama fans should be ashamed that their AD would make an inane, loser comment like that, but I'm sure many are right on board.

As was stated earlier, they likely won't have to worry about that happening much any more, at least in football.

To be fair, I would rather have an AD saying stupid stuff to take up for my University than the useless ADs we had like Mike Hamilton or Mike Hart that rolled over all the time.

Thankfully, we got Danny White. Best AD we have had since at least Doug Dickey.

Alabama still can't get over losing Nick Saban and it is showing.

Bama doesn't need to be too quick about rushing the field penalties. They are well on their way to becoming a team whose fans will be rushing the field.

Went to grad school in Birmingham and the eternal lament of the bama fans was”Don’t you think we deserved to win?” after every loss. Obviously the culture hasn’t changed.
