Bama, with an inferior Qb; threw the ball deep Multiple times this week successfully. I think we see Joe Air It Out this week.

He needs too.........A&M is going to stack that box and play 1-on-1 on the outside daring Joe to beat them. Without Bru to block our quick swing passes to the flat are going to be tough I'm afraid too.......Joe will literally have to throw it downfield and hit long and intermediate passes to loosen their D up I'm afraid. Good news is Milton is beyond due. Especially with being yanked twice in his career.

Hoping this is Milton's "Rattler game" and it all clicks and he balls out the rest of the year.

You remind me of the Daily Mail's long headlines 😂
I think the most encouraging thing is how Bama couldn't run worth a flip (better in the 2nd half), allowed sacks and still was able to throw it.
Will they be able to adjust without Bru, tho?

I was bouncing around on the tube watching other games and checking in on Bama/A&M from time to time. Did A-M suffer any injuries to key players ? The SEC games I've watched so far this year , it's been up and down= a team looks good one week, and bad the next and that is across the board. You never know which team is going to show up on a given Saturday.

Joe - 270 yards, 4 TDs - 3 passing 1 Rushing
🐿️ 2 TDs 130 yards receiving
Sampson 2 TDs 1 rushing 1 recieving. 120 yards total

41-27 V O L S
I think Joe took a step against SC. Other than the little series after the Bru injury and the INT on the misread, he threw the ball well. I hope the bye week was used to take the next step in the passing game.

That's what I'd do. Until our WRs show they can beat press and Milton can make the throws, I'd take the run away.

Milroe actually throws a great accurate deep ball. Has all season. He gets flack for his intermediate passing game.
He also doesn't have Milton's arm so perhaps that makes his deep ball more catchable? Milroe seems to be improving. I'm hoping Banks can disguise things and confuse him a bit. He does, after all, play upperclassmen because of their experience so it should be no problem mixing things up and varying the looks Milroe gets.

Jalen Milroe is not a great QB but he throws a good deep ball.
Yeah, it's odd, he throws well on the deep ball, but yet on the last possession he threw one screen in the dirt 4 yds. in front of the receiver, and the other well short also.

I think Milroe’s major problem is staring down 1 pre-determined receiver. He’s done it all year, makes it easy for the defense to read.

5 star players can make a back up QB look decent. Our D just has to contain him, make him be a pocket passer and we stop Bama.

Inferior QB, OK then. We do have to go to Tuscaloosa next up, and play that guy. Not to anxious for that. He will be the fastest player on the field, and can throw it pretty darn well. Bama will be favored by 14 or more.

What on Earth are people smoking to believe Joe Milton will suddenly become a consistent ...QB??

It's like ...fans just throw out their hopes and dreams, and wait for them to manifest lol.

I'll take a 28-27 win for the Vols if we run the ball and play good defense.

Because Milton refuses to run they will probably drop multiple guys into coverage. Our WR'S are suspect so if our running game doesn't have a great day it will be extremely difficult to move the ball. Hopefully someone has a breakout game at wideout

He has to run the RPO or we will not have a chance to score enough points to wn. He complete a couple of slants agains SC which were open. This may help draw the LB or safeties toped up some intermediate and deep throws. If that happens, he has to hit the deep ball.

Got chased down and sacked a lot for the “fastest player on the field.”

Misread. He will be the fastest player on the field. Alabama (Badly as I hate them astardbas), will beat the Vols handily in Tuscaloosa. UT barely got by them last year in Knoxville WITH Hooker/Hyatt/WRIGHT. And IF you watched the A&M game, Milroe is the reason they won the game. So bama is close to who they were, and UT is not, and bama wants revenge. Think it was loud @ Uga LY? It will be louder. I deal in reality; and don't let my fandom blind me.

Yeah, lol..He kind of is what he is at this point.. Heupel decided to roll with him this year, so here we are. He's going to have to bail us out at some point. Going to be tough trying to run on these next two teams..

Some of them the receivers had to wait on A&Ms DBs looked like ours 2022 vs USC jr but he did hit a few in stride. I think A&M went all in on stopping the run and used a spy which did not help.
